Dragonhawk Appreciation Thread

Hey guys,

Just prepurchased Midnight and got the new Dragonhawk mounts and I just wanted to take a moment to voice my appreciation for this gorgeous mount model. I don’t normally go for flying mounts that have no run/land animation which the Dragonhawks obviously don’t due to having no feet, but I can’t stop using this new mount.

The animations while flying, especially when Skyriding are gorgeous, so well done.

Hoping to see more Dragonhawks in Midnight, especially plain coloured ones with no particle effects and plain saddles, this is way up there on my list of things I’m hoping to get in the expansion.

Yes if we can get 1000 horse variations, we can get 2000 dragonhawk variations

They are very nice and I absolutely used them for about three days.

I normally didn’t like the appearance of Dragonhawk, But the new version of Dragonhawk especially the Epic edition mounts I love the style they used. I know this expansion is all about the light vs void, But I really want them to some day do a fire & ice theme for this mount as well with the whole single element and the shifting element variations.

I have a few alts that will use these a lot. The void one gives me The Abyss vibes…really nice looking. I am always kind of bummed with mounts that never land though…really wish they’d fix that…especially on the raven and cloud dragon type ones. Maybe someday.

Thats pretty much true for any mount at this point. In a game with hundreds of mounts…and I still use the same 4 all the time

On this toon, its the Swine of Good Fortune

While I do like the new mounts… at the same time they feel uncomfortable to look at.

I don’t know if it’s because they have too many lights or if they’re just too “flashy.”
I can’t really explain it.

I used the mounts maybe twice and then went back to the Class Hall horse.

Yeah the new dragonhawks are fantastic. I made a thread years ago when wc3 reforged was in development and I saw the new dragonhawks in that, saying how great they are and how bad the ones in wow are. The old ones really are horrid. But these new ones yeah, they’ve done a great job. I hope we get a few more normal ones in midnight, without all the bright lights.

Hah! We’re on the same page.

Poor mount collectors will be dead before done.

“My stupid grandfather started playing wow and collecting mounts. He made it his dying wish we finish his collection. Dude there are over 9000 recolored mount variants.”

I don’t want to hear he didn’t see this coming.

Yeah, I think that’s pretty much how it works everywhere. Since I have mostly engineering gnomes, they all use Mimiron’s Head.

Mount collectors will develop immortality. When it’s time for a funeral, a new wow shop mount releases and they will rise from the grave without fail

they dont look like dragon hawks though.

no dragon hawk ive ever seen in this game has 8 wings

also missing the beak

They’re not though.

the beak the other dragonhawks have

So do Dragonhawks canonically have 2 or 6 wings now? Because all Dragonhawks up to Vengeance feel horribly out of date now.

They’re teenage mutant ninja dragon hawks.

I love the mount. I just wish my mog would appear in the armory. Why does it always leave characters naked for a few weeks after a new mog comes out?

That’s just a funny prank.
