like you can enjoy different games, and you can enjoy things even if you find flaws with them but what i don’t get is why people tie their personal worth to a video game and perceive criticism as a slight against them

But you did say that WoW content is bad, because WoW content is not dynamic. None of it is dynamic - WoW and FFXIV are equally dynamic, Guild Wars 2 surpasses both here.
Hell, even Runescape surpasses WoW and FFXIV here.
So ‘Dynamic’ is clearly not the criteria for what makes a ‘fun’ MMORPG.

Name a FFXIV paladin that is more famous and known more worldwide than Arthas, Uther, Tirion, Liadrin.
