Gamers need to reject fomo. Its only good for the corporations who dont repsect your time. So many games i just dont even bother playing because of cool things not being available. If i didnt have so much invested in wow, if never start playing it today.

And that is the crutch of this whole issue. You have an opinion and others have their own opinion. The problem is that when you have sides to an opinion you need to see the consequence of both side. in the long term a loss of trust in the company is not good this is why sometimes I can vote against my beliefs if I think this will be more beneficial overall even if I don t like it.
Unfortunately there are too many people in this thread who have myopic views of the issue and what it means for the future. Blizzard can do anything they want but it does not take a genius to see when a marketing decision is a bad business decision.
I don t mind the 12 month sub offer. 6 months is not the same at 12 months obviously and the timing makes it very hard to see if subs are organic or artificial

Yes, it has. Not only have they ALWAYS been able to do it, but they specifically implemented the BMAH to put in stuff like this into the game. Its been there since MoP.

They also gave a TCG only pet away before to everyone when people donated to a charity. Oh and even put in TCG stuff for classic bundles for some time too.
Also, yeah you just misunderstood the whole premise of the shop. Blizz has ALWAYS had the ability to do this, its always just been a case of when not if, and most of us , at least above the puberty age, realize that.

Because it is the same thing. EVERYONE can get it from the BMAH. It is in game. The only difference is this doesnât cost gold, it just costs us listening to a streamer for 4 hours.

The trust that youâve in a company or a person is just a personal value, like the sentimental value that a lot of people have for TCG mounts. Iâve most TCG mounts and itâs ok if Blizzard bring back all of those back into the game. I think its good for the game, Ion already mentioned that promotional/removed content is actually one reason why they donât add frequent mount achievements, because thereâs an impact on new players.
BMAH Items are also in the container thatâs available almost all days.
