Dragonflight Season 4 Dungeon Changes Ahead

The interpretation is that the GO GO GO mentality has been in dungeons since at least wrath.

Seeing these item level changes, leads me to believe there wont be a buff to the legendary as it would remove the value of the season 4 weapons. I’m not sure though, I am only speculating but considering they significantly buffed it with hopes that almost every player would obtain it could make this speculation go either way but who knows.

I think you are misunderstanding the scaling of difficulty.

+2s will be equivalant to a +5
a +10 is going to be equivalant to a +20 in season 4

Meaning casual players will not be doing keys or anything higher than a +5 since a +5 will be equivalant to a +10 this season.

Huh? The max vault reward comes from a +10. You don’t even get the second affix until you do a +14. What are you talking about?

they are changing the affixes.

  • 2 will get 1 affix
    +5 will get 2 affixes. Meaning +5s will be equivalant to a 14.

Not in the new changes, it says in the article. +10 (old 20) is when the 3rd affix is added.

The playerbase’s standards are underwater. It’s unfortunate. I hope at least the raids will have a hook to them and not just be the identical raids, but again.

I want to see Normal Dungeon with the increases of the mythic plus system, so like the damage and health % increases but without the affixes or timer. just scalable harder dungeons. I don’t really like the mythic plus system, challenge dungeons were better wordering and idea imo but I understand where the system is at the moment. either way I’d love to see this as something to do to get crests/goal/currency as a fun way to play dungeons like the old days. Having to do them because I always feel like I need more gear doesn’t make them fun, it makes them a chore .

a gap in meeting player demand’ - yeah, the players who have corporate sponsors and then whinge about a lack of content the week after a raid is released. I’m sick of the spoiled-rotten player elite running the game for everybody else.

The biggest takeaway from this is now we’ll have less clutter in LFG. IMO they could squish it a bit more but they still need to fix the LFG for mythics. Good change overall though.

Raid loot will need to be adjusted up accordingly.

 these changes are explicitly for more casual players who don’t currently engage with the M+ system.

SL raids got affixes. I suspect DF raids will get something similar, but I wouldn’t expect anything completely new otherwise.

Raid vs mythic+ difficulty to reward was modestly decent in season 1 with capped valor and hard dungeons.

Season 2, especially season 3, and looks like season 4 all threw it in the trash.

Im torn by this news. I like there is going to be more challenge content BUT as this is the first season where Ive seen alot of “people who struggle” manage to get some achievments because its probably been the easiest in a while, its a tough one.

A lot is for casual never do m+ folks, who’ve been asking for heroic and 0 to be relevant for years.

Damn, might just let my sub run out. DF dungeons are putrid.

DF content in general is just vomit-inducing so I was hoping the less of it the better. Was really hoping for all 8 dungeons being non-DF.
