Dragonflight Season 1 and Raid Schedule

You clearly havent done LFR in awhile, and I dont believe you know what youre talking about.

You will do them…

Can you guys PLEASE stop gating LFR so hard? There’s zero reason there needs to be 2 weeks between wings. One week is fine. Stop screwing over casual players.

They don’t want to force certain players to raid lfr for loot(tier, weapons, trinkets).

Which is funny cause they don’t have any issues forcing everyone else to raid even if they don’t want by putting the best gear there.

Blizzard explained this years ago when they started staggering the LFR release (in Throne of Thunder) because Determination was added.

Raiding is supposed to have a sense of progression, over time. LFR has zero progression with the Determination buff because you WILL kill everything the first day.

So Blizzard artificially implements a sense of progression by releasing the wings a few weeks apart.

You have your answer.

Well then they’re failing because a bunch of us who hadn’t done LFR in a decade felt pressured to head into Sepulcher LFR for tier pieces.

The concerns of people who normally don’t do LFR has nothing to do with it. It’s related to the lack of progression in LFR, as Blizzard stated, and that’s entirely due to the Determination buff.

Determination added = LFR wing gating. It’s 1-for-1, they happened at exactly the same time (Throne of Thunder).

Ok so you are lead of a casual team not a world first team .
Do some bosses before the holidays then come back afterwards and continue.

The problem is that Blizzard will cut the raid short because it overlaps with the dead period of the holidays.

Take Eternal Palace as an example, came out in July, but ended in January. So a 6 month raid on paper, but actually just 5 months because it overlapped the holidays.

Eternal Palace was one of the least-completed raid of the last few years, with less than a thousand guilds getting CE, as a result.

THe person I replied to said they lead a casual team . So even if they make the raid only 5 months because of the holidays . His team should still be able to complete it.

Every team is different, I know people whose primary difficulty is Heroic who were still struggling with Jailer in July. Heck, I know people who were still struggling with Normal Jailer in July.

Wow! Pure genius right there! As someone else said, really disingenuous. Thankyou for your valuable response!

Ew. Court of Stars. Why are you reusing the crappy old dungeons? Put Shadowfang Keep and Gnomeragon in the rotation! :upside_down_face:

Yay! No necrotic! I hope we get a new affix that helps us in the dungeons (ain’t gonna happen, but it’d be nice).

That being said, i think y’all should slow down on the release. From what I hear: there’s a LOT of bugs and problems to work out (Seriously, group loot? What were you thinking?). Plus, the scheduling kinda sucks.

This post is incredibly misleading.

Let’s just be clear here: There ARE eight new dungeons at the start of DF, S1.

Same as pretty much every modern expac.

Before we proceed on what’s different, I want all the people carrying torches and pitchforks to admit this one thing plainly and clearly:

At the start of DF… there ARE, IN FACT, eight BRAND NEW dungeons that are all playable…right away.

Admit that. Then we’ll proceed.

I am reading there are 4 new and 4 old for a total of 8 in season 1. Unless we’re reading different articles

Im excited and hopeful that this expansion will at the very least be a step up from BFA and Shadowlands. I do not however like the fact that we are getting old dungeons again. Feels to me like they ran out of development time and chose to cut some corners. Could entirely be wrong but it just comes off as a way to make the 2022 launch

As to my point: It’s not wrong-- but it’s not right either.

And people need to UNDERSTAND THIS:

There ARE IN FACT … EIGHT new dungeons at launch. OK?

GOT IT? There are … EIGHT NEW DUNGEONS.

FOUR of which will be put in the M+ rotation.

And FOUR OLD DUNGEONS will be added to the M+ rotation.

That rotation will CHANGE at some point. You can argue that all you want.

But the FACT REMAINS-- there will be EIGHT NEW DUNGEONS at the start of DF. Put your GD pitchforks away!

So there’s only 4 new dungeons?

There’s 8 new Dungeons.

That’s confusing too

Level-up dungeons:
Ruby Life Pools
Brackenhide Hollow
The Nokhud Offensive
Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr

Max-level dungeons:
Neltharus
The Azure Vault
Halls of Infusion
Algeth’ar Academy

So…are the “level up dungeons” not available at max level? And are the “max level” dungeons not available while leveling up?

I can see why people would say there’s only four new dungeons if at max level they only have access to 4 new dungeons.

How do you know you are getting 8 new dungeons? Maybe there is only 4 in this expansion.

Ruby Life Pools
Brackenhide Hollow
The Nokhud Offensive
Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr
Neltharus
The Azure Vault
Halls of Infusion
Algeth’ar Academy

will all be available to run as Normal/Heroic/Mythic 0. Having 4 leveling dungeons and then the other 4 unlocking at max level has been in place for years - at the very least in Legion, BFA, and Shadowlands. We can assume the same applies for Dragonflight. The only thing they’re changing is the M+ rotation which is:

  • Ruby Life Pools
  • The Nokhud Offensive
  • The Azure Vault
  • Algeth’ar Academy
  • 4 Legacy Dungeons

will be part of the Mythic + rotation for Season 1. You will still be able to do all 8 new dungeons on regular difficulties at launch.
