What else can a mmorpg do that other games cant? and I bet most games these days steals from each other and take those idea and make it their own. Something like that.

depends on what the scores are. if those are all 1.0s than its review bombing but metacritic eventually removes those.

I mean metacritic is used by everyone including the industry.

metacritic is pretty good for the most part, especialy if you take a look at the good reviews instead of just score(which ends up fixing itself over time).

What do you want, a revolving selection of game shows in Azeroth that will have you on as a regular contestant?

If anything, the biggest criticism of Dragonflight I have is that they didn’t even get the basics right.

Class development, for example, was never finished, and is still under construction in 10.0.5. Class design is THE most important aspect of the game, since our characters are the vehicle through which we experience everything. But Blizzard never seems to understand that.

Does anyone besides game journalists give a rats about review sites anymore?

WoW isnt even competitive with ITSELF. Its had expansions in the past that pushed the boundaries of what could be in a WoW expansion way more than DF did.

And yeah, art is derivative. That permeates to all art based industries, including music, movies, literature, painting, comedy, and video games.

DF is a lukewarm release with a lukewarm response. There is no review bombing. Just uncomfortable truths perhaps.

Really? coz the last time I spoke to anyone in the real world, they were getting reviews from youtube and twitch, not review sites. And they have been for nearly a decade.

I suspect OP is bored during Christmas and didn’t get invited to the family events.

Class design and feedback would be stuck in an endless loop of what’s right and what’s wrong it’s a never ending cycle and dragonflight cannot be stuck in feedback phase forever. Just be glad that majority of the classes and spec received feedback or number of iterations before release. And plus they didn’t say outright that classes and spec won’t receive any further updates or changes or iterations in future updates to the game so yeah.

a review bomb is where a game goes to less then 1.0 with thousands of reviews in the first few days. i havent looked but i doubt DF is there, and its been like a month now?

Reading some of these negative reviews, the use of the exact same weird niche language - “mainstream Vulpera” makes me think it’s the same guy spamming reviews.
Like, it’s the same complaints just reworded while also using weird terminology I’ve never seen before despite following these things on and off on the regular.

Very weird.

Guess what most games these days are carbon copies of some other games and nothing is considered “original”. Atleast Dragonflight is trying its best to regain the trust of its players albeit slowly but with time and action and promises that are kept then yeah people will be proven wrong.
