does anyone know if there is any point in keeping these or should they all be turned into caches prior to the prepatch?

The PTR has been down for over a week so I can’t see how the rep is handled and beta doesn’t copy rep over it appears.

I would just give them to your most advanced Rep owner and turn them in.

I have spent two days doing that but still have my major stockpile to touch. I was hoping someone who was able to play on the PTR when it was up for warband testing could give me information on how professions worked. If the characters who don’t have the rep maxed will automatically be able to get all profession recipes without using these tokens it would be a waste to use them now on them - I will instead apply them for the caches and the 1k gold

You mean if you unlock rep based patterns? I think you will, all rep is account-wide, so all rep unlock should follow suit.

I’ll double check, but I’m pretty sure it will be purchasable. You will essentially have 1 reputation bar for your account.

yes it should follow suit but since they have made it impossible to check now I would like to be guaranteed before I use all these.

When you have a Warband reputation, any progress you make on one character will be shared across all characters. Reputation rewards are also unlocked for all characters. Once a reputation is converted to be Warband-wide, the progress will display as the furthest any character has achieved.

There are a few reputations from Dragonflight that are being converted into this system:

  • Renown

    • Dragonscale Expedition

    • Maruuk Centaur

    • Iskaara Tuskarr

    • Valdrakken Accord

    • Loamm Niffen

    • Dream Wardens

  • Standard

    • Wrathion & Sabellian

    • Cobalt Assembly

    • Artisan’s Consortium

    • Azerothian Archives

    • Soridormi

Unfortunately, certain reputation systems will be opted-out of this system largely due to having specific elements that wouldn’t make sense to share across all characters. Examples of this include the Winterpelt Furbolg and Glimmerogg Racer reputations. These are also considered to be minor reputation systems that wouldn’t be significantly impactful in a Warband-wide system.

I just don’t understand the point of having warband rep tokens when you transfer a character over to beta then. You literally only get those tokens if you max out rep and if they are basically useless why not just turn them to gold or something.

But you use them for Paragon Cache. It’s not totally useless. Now I’ll check if I have any tokens spare then I’ll transfer a character to Beta again. But it should work just fine.

I like those cache, they’re a good source of gold.

Yeah but I don’t see anywhere it allows you to track paragon caches - I don’t think they allow those now. If you manage to transfer a character with rep over let me know but all the characters I transferred over lost all their rep. I guess I could apply all those tokens from that one character though I did transfer and see.

What do you mean lost their rep? The Warband conversion will only take your character that has the highest progression and apply it to everyone else. Then they all share the same reputation bar.

my characters who I transfer over with max rep - show no reps on beta for dragonflight. That one character I applied a 1k token and it had no rep but I checked my other characters to see the change and they just had 1k rep - all the original rep was gone. I had copied account data originally on those but account data is disabled now.

Ok yea I see the same thing on Beta… maybe they didn’t apply the conversion then.

lol, I was just doing that - this was mine. I am pretty sure earlier in beta they had the reps but I don’t think they are going to allow us to earn the caches anymore.

You could always copy over and over again, mail the token to 1 character until you reach max renown. I believe in you.

I looked at that one character with the tokens and the only rep they would be able to max out now it the dream wardens and since that is a lvl 60 character I would have to quest first because the game doesn’t allow paragon caches on lvl 60s

I guess they could send it to that other but I will just wait maybe someone else has figure this out already.

WARBAND-WIDE REPUTATION
When you have a Warband reputation, any progress made on one character will be shared with all your characters. Rewards will also be unlocked for all characters, although the form this takes will vary per reward. Warband-wide rewards will be granted only once, while some rewards will remain character-specific and need to be collected on each character.
