From what I understand, you can kill a rare once per day, and they reset when the server resets (which is 11AM for me, local time).
Thing is…I killed a rare yesterday at like maybe 10PM my time…and here I am at 5PM my time, and he’s not showing up as a rare, and not dropping loot.
What am I missing?
Rares can vary by spawn.
I was on the grind for Druid customisation for a long time. It’s jusr a matter of checking in on their spawn location every few hours.
Others have spawn requirements ( Talthonei Ashwhisper shudder)
The rare in question, “Dragonhunter Igordan”, in The Waking Shores, is always up. He was a rare yesterday evening…he is still not back to rare status this evening.

I have an army of 16 DKs that I use to farm old contents…currently farming Garrosh in SoO for his shoulders, which has been dumb elusive. Now that said, yesterday, my DK army were only level 55, but I decided to run all of them through the starting quest ling up to the Ruby Lifeshrine in the Waking Shores to get them to level 60/61. Each of those characters killed this rare. Most got the helm from him, but a handful did not. So I’m going back to get the helm, except he’s not dropping loot.
