Logged into my shaman, then my druid. Inventory and bank absolutely full of…stuff. Alt spec gear sets, reagents, legendary gear…
My current plan, need tips if anyone has ideas:
Not sure if anything is worth keeping going into Dragonflight except the gear I’ll be wearing to level. Thoughts?
Literally sorting and cleaning up all my stuff right now in-game and browsing the forum on the side.
I’d say you pretty much know what to do with your own stuff.
The price of gear is going to drop around 15% when DF launches so selling any gear that you are not going to use while leveling is a great idea.
Consumables, food, potions, etc are always nice to have on hand while leveling.
Cleaning up the bags and banks is something I do before every new expac.
Although, sometimes Blizzard catches us unawares and makes something old useful again. So I often hang onto things that I feel might have a slight chance of having some future use.
But generally all the Shadowlands mats will be either sold on the AH or vendored. I tend to keep things like skins/leathers because they can be useful for making gear for transmog. And certainly all the gear will be disenchanted or vendored.
Like you, I have a crapload of stuff that needs to go.
I used to think this. But leveling is so easy these days it’s not even needed, and I usually forget they’re in my bags at all and just end up vendoring them anyways.
You can start a character naked at the beginning of an expansion by vendoring everything - including the gear they’re wearing - and still level just fine. (I’ve done it, it’s fun.)
True, but it never hurts to have them on hand in case you do get into trouble and need them, especially if you’re playing a class that doesn’t have many healing spells.

Almost everything that qualifies for this should just get vendered. Unless it serves some sort of twink, transmog, or nostalgia purpose.

Loot is so scarce in WoW if you have ten, fifteen open slots in your pack you’re good.
I’m only going to play Dracthyr. So, I’m not cleaning anything. He will have plenty of free bag space.
I did the same thing all my bank inventory is empty…ready to start brand new
