I just came back to WoW since breaking before Shadowlands. I don’t think I’ve participated in a pre-patch event since BC or WotLK, so I’m wondering if they are still a tradition. Has a Dragonflight Pre-patch event been announced or discussed? And have recent expansion pre-patch events have achievements or collectibles attached to them?
No but its rumored to start on Oct 25th (unconfirmed)
Yes. Usually pre-patch events will have a unique armor set, but they are normally just recolors of previous sets. They also usually have other items as wells…SLs had a ghost momento and a 34 slot bag

DF prepatch isnt announced yet.
Every expac prepatch has some sort of achievement or collectible surrounding it, e.g. Legion had a pet + limited time xmog

Thanks for the responses! I’ll wait to hear about it.
They even have alt catch up gear associated with them like the Shadowlands pre patch where you could get some nice gear for little effort.
