Just looking at the data, SL S4 had a sample size 2,385,150 with a little less than 10 million keys done. DF S1 had a sample size of 6,715,346 with more than 36 million keys done.
What am I looking at here?

That report is for the 2nd quarter, which is almost like 3 months old now.
Dragonflight is simply medicore. It has mediocre themes, mediocre writing, mediocre gameplay. Itās not horrible, but itās not great either. Mediocrity is still pretty bad to have in a game however as games are supposed to be fun. While mediocrity isnāt a killer you want the gameplay to feel fresh and exciting.

u cant just count s1 u count the entiree xpac until now the game is super not alive right now and its all cause DF is boring

DF is a financial failure , so bad theres non stop sales and they didnt say how much it sold

It has certainly been better than BFA and SL for my tastes, but I also donāt want to feel forced to log in every day and do chores.
Augment is their first, major misstep as far as Iām concerned.

By the way, DF S2 (20Kish less) has almost the same sample size as SL S4 and more than double the keys ran. Sooo yeah. And thereās probably 2 months left in the season.
There is a lot more to an expansion than dungeons, raids and PVP. DF has a wide variety of stuff to do at max level. SL had a lot to do at max level, ātechnicallyā, but it was all unejoyable grinding. BFA the sameā¦the questing, raids, and dungeons were great but all there was to do at max level was grind Azerite in very monotonous ways. Legion was the first iteration of world quests, so those held interest for quite some time.
Blizzard burned too many bridges and cashed in too much good will for WOW to ever be on top with millions of subs againā¦but DF is enjoyable enough to retain the subscribers it does have.

Thereās a fisheye effect that definitely adds to the speedfeel, but the practical difference is still pretty stark. If anyone would like to put it to the test, the mount you ride when youāre in ghost mode moves at standard flight speed.
