Whats even funnier is that it’s been entirely people complaining about LFR loot. Like, just run an m0 and get better gear in 1/3 the time lol.
No it’s really not, it’s far worse. Because useful loot dropped and was destroyed because it couldn’t be used. That’s appalling. Why is there some need to control player behavior in ways that make the game less fun overall? Personal loot partisans seem focused on making the game a monoculture of pain.
If anyone thinks someone is rolling need to spite them, they should probably walk away from the computer and into a therapist’s office.
If ppl think that 100% of the player base are carebears , they are incredibly naïve
That is fine controlling players behavior towards other players >> loot /pixels
They could with PL too. Nothing changed.
Some want different stats. Others want transmog.
Personal loot would have worked fine if they did not have the chance to get an item at less than 10%.
BFA for example had a much higher chance to get an item. SL design philosophy by Ion was to stretch out the content by making litem gains at 1/3 the rate in the past. Mission accomplished.
When it matters yes, but in this case there is no factual basis for it mattering other than the feels of a few players that have expressed feelings not based on actual facts.
So to me making the change and forcing personal loot was actually malicious and harmful. The statistical inequities cannot be overstated. But again the PL fanatics don’t care. Just like covenant fanatics in the SL alpha beta they are convinced that player behavior must be controlled because apparently we can’t be trusted to just play the game.
It has nothing to do with a carebear. If someone rolls need on something for whatever reason, it has nothing to do with other players. The roller wants that loot, and if they are eligible they have every right to have a chance at it.
Fact 1: 100% of the player base are not carebears
Fact 2 : rules regulations are made not because you would do bad things but there bad ppl who would do bad things
So again hating the system which you are is totally fine
You see tons of people actually are running those for tmogs. And sure it would solve it kinda to remove rewards that players that overgear the content wants. But it does seem like a grey area because they still want overgeared players to have a reason to go in LFR so there’s some people that can carry the run.
At the end personnal loot did the same thing, so nothing changed on that. Now you only see people rolling vs having the gear dropped directly in their inventory.
The only big change of group loot is now you’re not rewarded for stacking 8 hunters, you’re rewarded if you play a less played armor type or spec. Which personally I feel is better design.
But at the end same as other raid difficulties one of the major problem of raids has been the amount of loot dropped which probably should go to 50% chance per player of getting a loot dropped.
That’s the problem
LOL NO, bad regulations are made that way. Good regulations are only made in response to actual needs. Not fictitious made up things.
I hate personal loot because it’s a garbage system that was statistically horrible and de-facto forced all my loot to come once a week from the vault. It was incredibly unrewarding. But you don’t care clearly.
It’s not a problem. Whoever wins gets to do what they want with it. There’s no intended use requirement just like PL didn’t have one.
So bad ppl don’t exist ?
Again hating the system is better than hating the player and if blizzard wants tp make it public and say
System rolled XX for player Y is totally fine
Yes it is because one of the reasons is to troll
Rolling on loot you’re eligible for isn’t trolling. You participated in the kill, you have a right to have a chance at loot.
and if one of the "whatever reason " which is troll other players its allowed by GL.
There will be players mad about every decision made. It’s time they stop worrying about upset players and build the game that they want, which is how the game found the success it had before.
it’s the only reason I do lfr, ever
Still not a thing. Even if someone isn’t going to equip it that item has value to them either in vendor gold or enchanting mats.
PL rolls on this loot for everyone too. You’re just arguing for a system that’s worse because you feel like your opinion should determine who deserves to roll for loot.
