Hi: I’m am casual M+ runner who has run 15-ish keys for the past couple of seasons. Feasts seem almost mandatory at that level and above and have been pretty expensive to make or buy. For Dragonflight, it would be pretty awesome if there was a feast intended to feed just 5 people with smaller mat requirements.

I don’t use feasts for 15s or 20s. Maaaaybe if I was pushing a new high key I would drop one but I think I’ve only ever bought 5 of them. I don’t really think they are mandatory. A feast is almost certainly not going to make you time the key vs not.
I just use haste or versa food depending on my DH roll, i see people put feast down but never use them
Theyre bringing the multi stat food back as well so i can see individual food being better for mythic plus where opting for stam or vers to increase survivability while still getting your bis secondary would be useful against a feast just giving slightly more of 1 stat.
I am looking at the cooking profession book right now in alpha. There are the usual large feasts. However, Yusa’s Hearty Stew may be one that takes less mats over all, since it seems to only require single ingredients, rather than other meals included. Remember, though, that this is alpha, and I was using ingredients readily provided by the vendors there for free. I have no clue how hard it would be to gather these mats once the game goes live. So, caveat emptor.

Just buy standalone food not whole feasts. I bought a stack of 100 the other day for like 600Gold
It looks like personal food will be better than feasts in Dragonflight.
You don’t need a feast. Just a normal food buff is fine.
I wouldn’t call them mandatory by any stretch, since the gap between 20 primary and 30 secondary stat is not large at all (for me it sims at +1 dps, 127 vs 126). I love the idea though of 5-man feasts! Make it happen Blizz!

Why? For many specs they are only slightly better than individual secondary stat food, which is basically free. Feasts are mainly just for convenience in a big group.
I love the kettle feast we got from zm. Probably my favorite thing this last patch. Should note though, you barely need to flask for 15s, they are pretty chill this season with all the power we got from tier sets.
Nothing is mandatory in a +15 friend. When we sell +15s with people AFK we don’t even flask, oil or use food buffs at all.
Hell, sometimes I don’t even flask or eat food in +20s.
