There are three massive exploits that were taken advantage during the first week of Dragonflight launch:
- Infinite rep farm through cobalt farming
- Alchemy recipe unlocks through a bugged cooldown timer
- High item level gear through exploit of fast spawning rares
Solution:
If you’re going to hotfix the exploits, then you make the exploiters win. Now they are ahead of everyone else, and nobody can catch up. If you’re going to hotfix the exploits, then you need to reset the alchemy profession back to 1, reset all recipes, reset gear item levels, and reset reputation.
Alternatively, leave the exploits in. It’s already bad enough, just let everyone take advantage of it.
Nobody should have to be punished for failure to control the bugs and exploits of the game. Hotfixing the exploits punishes players who didn’t take advantage of them, and rewards players who did.
