Dragonflight crafting change (concentration), not sure if bug. was looking for answers

I made another post in general but it kind of got glossed over and was looking for someone to understand why this is happening to concentration.

"I decided to try and craft just now and noticed they changed the required ammount of concentration needed to craft stuff.

What was once 12 or so yesterday now requires 157!!!

My leather worker with all the best reagents making Frostbite scales, going from 366 skill to the 375 needed for the best quality now requires 157 out of my 1000 concentration.

Is this intended or is this a bug?"

same here gotta be bug other wise profession is done for. you could only work on couple of items per day since you recover around 300 pts. How we going make 100 skill points

yep i noticed this too. they nerfed the hell out of concentration cost wayy more now… was making bank selling max rank enchants prior to this patch

Maybe it’s like the gold nerf for weekly quests lowering them to 100, they also decided to increase concentration over 1000% so people would stop making stuff in dragonflight and move to the next expansion.

I just hope they dont keep these increased concentration costs for the war within.

That seems likely. It just sucks they did it without warning.

Shocking that so few people are noticing/commenting on this. No notification that they did this, so we should reasonably assume it’s a bug.

Hopefully but who knows, it could have been intentional. It would be great if they’d actually respond to posts but god knows that ain’t happening.

Silence on this from Blizz is insane. This is something the fundamentally breaks professions and they say nothing. Even a simple “this was intended” or “this is a bug” would be nice so people stop speculating and getting upset.

I’m looking at Beta right now, and to make a craft with a recipe difficulty of 490, and my skill is 486 (so a difference of 4 skill), it is requiring 236 concentration. When I did the craft it used 209 concentration, but did not say it was any kind of ingenious breakthrough. The amount of concentration used seems completely arbitrary and not any consistent multiple of the skill gap, and then it doesn’t even use the amount it says it will. If that was meant to be a minor breakthrough that saved me those few concentration the UI should really indicate that somehow. It seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors in the current iteration if it is indeed working as intended.

Remember, this game launches next week… we have this and many other game breaking issues still like guild bank’s contents vanishing.
