Thing is though - unless itʻs been changed, does not damage equate to threat generation?
So less damage = less threat generation = poorer tanking.
If they are going to nerf the damage, an equal increase in passive threat generation from these now less damaging skills would be nice.
Damage does lead to threat gen, but brewmaster’s damage was just absurd going in, but VDH was meta because it had better survivability and sigils.
stop. You dont know what youre talking about. Brewmaster does less damage then vengence. Brewmaster dies to auto attacks. Brewmaster can only do 1/3 the pull size a demon hunter can. Brewmaster defensives are on GCD. Brewmasters celestial brew is gone in 2 seconds, or instantly from a boss, and youre left with 20% health. Brewmasters dont do abusrd damage. Brewmaster is the highest APM class and most difficult class besides rogues in the game. Brewmaster, requires the most skill out of all the tanks. Should i go on for you Mr. Capslock? Stop talking if you dont know what youre talking about. I dont go talking on the lock forum, I dont play lock.
what about Survival hunter S4 tier set being broke?
If they were balancing for the top 0.1% we would have seen way harder VDH nerfs, Shadow nerfs, and fire nerfs.
Threat for tanks is 6x the damage done. If a typical Brewmaster tank in keys does 150k DPS, a DPS would have to do 900k DPS to pull threat, which no DPS is currently doing (one exception is a Dev Evoker burst). So a minor DPS nerf will not affect threat generation significantly.

really blizz !!! brewmaster nerfs if you hate the class just delete it please …ok but seriously lowest parsing tank this whole expansion and you feel it needs nerfs who is looking at you data ? even if you did nothing to the class it would still at the bottom of the tier list for tanks and you decide to nefr it thank you for that !!! so tired of your bad choices …
not sure that is the point is it brewmaster should have def buffs across the board the biggest thing they had going for them was dps and now that has been takin away …

Hmm. I think the problem is when we talk about the beginning of a pull / tagging mobs.
1)You chuck a single Keg Smash
2)DPS sees that health bar go from Red to Blue
3)They press 10 cooldowns before you can even follow up with a Breath of Fire.
4)They pull aggro, get hit by 1 melee and die
Technically speaking, it is the DPS fault for not waiting, but I noticed that certain tanks can build up that threat quicker than others (DPS trinkets help)

Yup. I’ll log in next week to get the raid mount, but I hit KSM early in S4 and don’t feel like the torture of going any further with this dungeon set lol. Keys are like 99.7% of the reason I play lol.

What is so bad about it? Isn’t this what the mythic+ community wanted? I heard so many complaints at the start of the expansion about them not putting all Dragonflight dungeons in mythic+
Every time I switch over to a class and start enjoying it, it gets nerfed.

Look at class performance on based on wow logs across the board, not 1 single parse padded with trinkets, potions and every borrowed power possible to abuse…
Meanwhile brews base skills are in the gutter. How can we address this?
Lets make it even less desirable in keys.
