Dragonflight Campaign skip problems

I swapped mains during season 2 of dragonflight and quit right before season 3. Now I played TWW with the new main but am interested in the transmog from Amirdrassil. The problem I am having is I cannot for the life of me figure out how to skip. All the guides say I must “complete” the campaign to unlock the table for adventuring mode. My old “Main” is 5/9 chapters completed and my main main is 0/9.

Is there anything I can do to skip 5/9 on my new main? Or am I stuck between playing the old character to complete the last 4 chapters of DF and restarting the entire expansion?

I think the latter is the case. Blizzard has predicated alt skips on at least one character completing the expansion’s main campaign chain from beginning to end.
