Arms & Prot shaping up nicely.
Changes I would like to see on the Main tree are:
One-Handed Spec & Two-Handed Spec should be a choice node in middle of the tree where One-Handed Spec is now. Moving Frothing Berserker over to where Massacre is now and have it move down to where Two-Handed Spec is currently, adding to Massacre your executes have a +5% crit chance.

Dauntless Duelist is also out of place at the bottom of the tree as choice with Thunderous Aftershocks. If they feel it is powerful enough for a capstone, add it to follow Bitter Immunity.

Arms tree:
Exhilarating Blows changed to Mortal Combo (just like in SL, makes sense, animation is awesome, and we have Battlelord doing the same thing only better just down the tree).
Deadly Calm, I am excited to see how they change that talent as I enjoyed it as a Venthyr Warrior but it was on the same row as Avatar which is just that much better overall.

The right side of the fury tree got hurt badly by the new talent tree update. All abilities that buff raging blow (fury warriors main dps button and rage generator) are now locked behind improved whirlwind. If you are doing a titans grip single target build you will absolutely want; cruelty, wrath and fury, and raging armaments but all of these are locked behind putting a point into improved whirlwind, which is something you almost never use in single target. But even worse than that, is raging armaments is locked behind an additional 2 points into meat cleaver (another whirlwind buff). Not to mention that siegebreaker and deafening crash are also locked being improved whirlwind. This feels awful to have to put 3 points into buffing whirlwind (an ability you almost never press except for filler in single target) just to access crucial single target abilities.

That sucks, hopefully they shuffle them around. They do seem to actually be testing different placements, and I know there are alot of alpha testers going hard with Fury so feedback should be extensive. Let’s hope they listen and implement.

Imp whirlwind seems almost mandatory as thats what makes it free and causes it to generate rage, and I wouldn’t exactly call a third raging blow charge a crucial ability.

I kinda liked the previous fury tree build personally. Right now other than like 2 talents the fury talent tree is nothing but DPS choices, which we all know will come down to sims and picking the highest DPS ones for either single target or AOE depending on what we are doing there will be no real choice.

They need to remove the weapon specializations.

  1. They are must-take talents, and Arms/Fury’s are deep down the tree. Effectively shepherding you down a lane, injuring the sense of customization.
  2. They are each meant for 1 spec. So why put them in a class tree at all? Every spec has one talent it benefits from, but two that are unusable dead weight.

Also: Still waiting for Bladestorm to come back for Fury. Either in the class tree or potentially a choice node (like with Ravager).

Seeing the bluepost about the final talent of arms (The weapon choice one) has me confused. Why not just make it a choice node regardless of the weapon picked?

I really dislike the extra charge of RB being tied being a 2 point WW node that you may not even need if you already have improved WW. Improved WW would still be useful even if you play SMF, while RB is for sure TG. Why not move WW and Improved WW somewhere closer to the middle of the tree?

Why do we not have Bladestorm? At the very least make ravager a choice node for it. And have storm of steel below it make it so Bladestorm makes you enraged on press maybe?

Onslaught, has anyone tried this with the upgrade? It seems like this will literally never be picked and DOA. my suggestion for this is to have this be a skill alt to rampage with a CD. Rampage is multi attacks. Why not have this do actually burst damage and feel fun to press. What if it was programmed to auto crit and any talent affecting rampage would affect it as well? Or what if it is just an enrage extender? Use it out of rage, it will auto enrage you. Use it while enraged, will extend enrage by 5 seconds. Maybe it will be worth the pick then?

In general tree, Can we please do something about that right side? Thunderous roar will rarely be picked. With the nerf to shockwave’s stun duration, I say combine these two talents together, so it will still do the damage and bleed, but also stun for 2 seconds, then make the choice node below it into rumbling earth or duelist maybe?

The talents for dualwield damage (right side of tree) and 2h damage (left side of tree) feel unfun. Just damage increases that feel to be must picks for dps increase. Can we just get rid of these or find a way to make them more interesting or better paths? If they stay can they be a choice node somewhere?

Crushing force feels like it is a 100% arms only talent. Can we make this talent affect shield slam and BT or Raging blow too so all 3 specs can use it if they want?

Titanic throw will never be picked. Please redo this talent. Make it so it silences or interrupts the cast and it will actually be worth a pick.

Some my thoughts.

Side note, here is my idea on how to deal with signet. If fury will not receive Blade storm back, then it is easy. That means you just get avatar on press of Recklessness. And then gain Recklessness when pressing avatar.

For Arms, BS will give avatar, and when you Avatar, you will gain BS.

Sorry, Forgot to add this in, But a good way to make the right side of the general tree better is to add in Conqueror’s Banner. Also Siegebreaker seems it is in a weird spot to fit into the tree. Can we have somewhere in the fury tree Deathmaker legendary?

In pure single target, take Mythic Skolex for example. Having improved whirlwind is not mandatory and having to spend a point on it is a big loss. Not having a third charge of raging blow, one of your core rotation abilities and rage generating abilites unless you spend 3 points to buff whirlwind is a problem. Maybe for open world content or low-level content it is fine. But for high level single target you are WASTING 3 points.

Prot warrior looking spicy imo, gonna be fun to play them im exited.

is literally not that big of a deal lol. raging armaments is rather weak and you’re probably better off pathing through siegebreaker/cruelty instead

I like your idea of making Sharpened Blades/Blunt Instruments a choice talent regardless of weapon type. It solves so many problems very elegantly.

Ehhh…

Crushing force no longer increases Shield Slam damage which is a bummer. Definitely want a huge Shield Slam build might be becoming harder and harder to pull off. Although the change to 1 hand weapon specialization was nice as this should boost Shield Slam and all dmg.

Prot tree getting more dicey as now we have to select Rend in our tree instead of Class tree and we already have a wasted point with Devastate. Which now makes it impossible to take required nodes. They need to REMOVE Devastate from the game and just have Devastator.

I can’t even take any points in Focused Vigor now for Str and Armor/Crit in the Prot tree.
The old build was better I got to waste points now in Prot and have less options.

I’d also love to have Spell Block as it will be crucial in a lot of applications but never can take it. Some things needs to just be baseline abilities and not on the trees.

With that said!!! There is still to much fluff in the Prot tree and being able to make builds work as I originally stated. I like the old build better.

I still don’t know why they added the option for us to have a pseudo-holy shield. To get this effect, you’d have to take shield specialization, spiked shield, and spell block that’s four points right there a prot paladin’s holy shield is one point. Most likely two of the talents for this won’t even be taken due to talent constraints and how weak they seem. I would prefer if they just make a new talent that consolidates these and maybe keep the cd so as not to make it too powerful. That would be one way to get rid of some bloat.

I love it especially for PvP but have to sacrifice so much for it. The problem is in PvP everything is magic damage so Prot War really needs more magic mitigation. This would help.

Honestly all Tanks should have heavy magic mitigation and they need buffs in that area.

I think this is Prot Wars best addition. I been crying for Prot Pal to get Block value nodes because they don’t block enough damage. Shield Specialization is so juicy and combined with Brace for impact will have massive Block value.

Also Shield spike is a lot more damage than Holy shield and Prot War has 100% block so it’s just better than pally.

I obviously agree here that we need some consolidation. Sorry why can’t Rend/Last Stand etc just be base ability and not on the tree. I’d like some things on the Class tree just be base abilities which would fix many issues.

The trees are cool but the Talents should be more impactful and create more build options. If I’m running out of points to get to the cool or required Talents the trees have failed.

In the last build spiked shield was 20% of attack power I think looks like they increased it to 30%. In that build, people were saying spiked shield was doing 3% of their total damage. If that is to be believed it is not a meaningful talent to pick by itself. Because it’s more thorns damage than holy shield is the reason why I suggested it should keep its 2min cd if all the talents were combined.

it was a spongebob reference. Probably meant has a joke. They are making it one talent that you pick either or from it just wasn’t ready for the build they pushed out.

Titanic throw is going to be picked up by ever prot warrior. A ranged aoe pull that applies deep wounds.
