The awakened season is giving me flashbacks to 10.0 with all the people hanging around Dragonbane Keep completely confused about the start time, grumbling, sharing the superstitions about fictitious interactions with other events. arguing with me when I try to to inform them how long they have left until it starts.
It’s astonishing how much confusion a simple 2-hour event cycle can create if the map UI for it is badly enough designed. And it’s amazing to me how new players (or at least “new to participating in the world” players there are around yesterday and today.

Agreed, and its a little silly that I have to go to wowhead to see the event times easily…

Oh yeah, what with it being on the new weekly, I can imagine what kind of dumpster fire it’s turning into.
I’d intended to give the weekly a miss this time around. I may have to pick it up so I can see.
All you have to really remember is either “odd hours” or “even hours” (depending on which time zone you are in). WoWhead isn’t really helping the situtation by swapping between the “gathering forces” phase and “forces gathered” phase countdowns.
It starts every two hours… Even hours on the West Coast Servers. Odd hours on the East Coast Servers. A horn will appear on the world map about 10 minutes before it starts. Just be in the area and you’ll get credit.
