I just finished getting all glyphs using a YouTube video at level 63. He saved that high, icy mountain peak for the last. It was brutal and I had 6 vigor pods. I was soooo glad to get that one done.
Funny, I’ve flown regular mounts pretty high before, but for some dumb reason I get a fear of heights/vertigo on some of these high spots with my dragon.
Actually you can. I got the absolute highest one with almost no talents and never had to land. You use skyward ascent pointing upwards, then after the initial burst angle slightly downward to get the blue wind buff (thrill of the skies). Regenerate one vigor and then aim up, skyward ascent and repeat.
It’s still fairly quick without talents it probably took me like two minutes to get up that mountain and with a few of the dragon riding upgrades unlocked you can repeatedly hit skyward ascent and be at the top in seconds.
I see now how you do it, lol, I did it the stupid way.
exactly, you just need to do it “well” but the game doesn’t really teach you how to fly. It just says “here, have a dragon.”

Me too at first. I was landing and waiting for vigor a lot. The key thing that helped me was realizing how much more lift you get with skyward ascent by aiming up toward the sky instead of using it while flying straight ahead.

don’t feel bad. The game really doesn’t explain this enough and there are very few guides on it. Most people discover it by chance.
What I liked most about finding the glyphs is that it forced me to learn by error. I had to bang my head against a wall a couple times, now I glide through the islands like a pro. I even did a few of the advanced races in gold and plan to get all of them later.
I have no problem with flying the dragon, i can get anywhere without stopping, just the mountain one. just didn’t think of using skyward that way.
you just inspired me for a challenge and I just logged in to try it:
I flew straight from the starting area all the way to the top of that mountain, no stops.
I didn’t count the vigor, but I just wanted to know if it was doable (and I guess it is). I had 3 left over vigor when I landed on the peak.

With all Dragon Glyph locations at hand, it should take around 30 minutes to 1 hour to gather all Dragon Glyphs.
