Dragon riding needs a dive button

Apple mouse needs to die in a fire.

I don’t think it needs a dive button. I do wish it picked up speed when descending a little faster.

That’s a YMMV thing, to be sure. I like it. Most people, a standard mouse or gaming mouse would serve better.

Which leads to the baffling thing about their design philosophy that I simply cannot understand. They’ve vastly improved every piece of the machine’s design, across the board, with the sole exception of that execrable, God-rotted mouse.

But it’s an easy thing to swap out. The day they went to USB is the last day I used an Apple mouse.

I just want that one move from Starfox 64 where you fly upside down and then flip over to face the other way.

i know the hotkey to “point down” is like insert or “end” or “home” key if you have those try it

Apple mouse is crap with WoW. Can’t do “two finger press” due to its design.
I use a logitech mouse.

This setting still exists. It’s a bit funky but magic mice can right click just fine.

I played on a trackpoint nubbin like this for several years:

Even did ok in battlegrounds with it… I figure if it’s possible to play with that, it’s possible to play with just about anything.

I believe that’s a Split-S. Sadly the WoW engine can’t do a proper roll. Or a proper loop.

That is extremely debatable. I detest the way the GUI works on Apple machines and sadly, Microsoft is making Windows more and more Apple-like.

Is this more what you are looking for?

I was mostly talking about hardware. I’m ambivalent about the software. On one hand I liked the 9.X GUI better. On the other hand, I can pop open a terminal and “sudo rm” to remove damn well anything I want to remove.

Eff. That.

Then an even bigger no. As of a few years ago, Apple motherboards were made by Foxconn. When I would build PCs for customers on a shoestring budget and had to use the cheapest mobo out there, I bought Foxconn motherboards.

There is no magical hardware advantage to Apple computers other than the shiny chassis.

I never said there was an advantage, only that each successive generation of Apple hardware improved upon the previous generation of Apple hardware … except for the mouse.

Whatever it’s worth, as someone who uses both Windows and macOS on a daily basis, the changes in Windows 11 aren’t all that mac-like. If anything I find them more reminiscent of a phone OS… macOS usually exposes more advanced/technical bits for “power user” types who know where to look for them but Windows 11 tends to sand off its edges without providing a proper escape hatch for people who know what they’re doing. The biggest offenders are all the little things that have turned up missing in its control panel compared to previous versions of Windows and can’t be changed without registry editing (like S3 sleep, which for whatever reason is no longer an option shown in sleep settings even if your computer is capable of it).

Foxconn is the manufacturer for numerous OEMs, including Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Lenovo, Toshiba, Vizio, Google, Cisco, Amazon, HP, IBM, and countless others and the quality of manufacturing depends on how much their clients are paying. They’re almost impossible to avoid.

I’m having the same problem. I’m using an iMac Pro but my mouse is plugged in via USB and in an HP with 3 buttons that all work. I point the camera down and it doenst dive. the wings of the dragon stay extended. Even if i press 1 " Surge Forward instant" it doesn’t dive properly. Can anyone help?

There is nothing funny about self-abuse.

Wait. So when you need to turn your character around, you have to use A or D?
