The mail + healing makes it seem more Shaman-esque.
Which, I could admittedly be completely wrong about - that’s the one class I’ve never seriously played in any capacity.

They were looking at missing pieces, and adding a Healer actually brings parity to the role by comparison.
That said, thematically? … relegating a Dragon class to non-physical roles is super-weird. No one looks at a dragon and goes, “oh, that thing’s probably super fragile.”
While we don’t need more Melee from a gameplay perspective, conceptually it would make more sense than not.
