Dragon lore questions

I have a pretty decent understanding of the current lore in wow but there are a couple of things bugging me i can’t find answers for.
With the dragons i know that the titans uplifted the aspects but where did their flights come from? They aren’t all decended from the aspects right?
Are the dragons still infertile in DF? The ruby life pools story arc, from what ive seen, seems to suggest they arent or never were.

If anyone could shed some light on this or provide references id appreciate it.

The initial offspring were likely proto drakes that were also uplifted when the aspects were. And the rest? Like most creatures, dragons got busy is all. Not every dragon in each flight is related to their aspect. At least not that I’m aware of

Likely a mixture of the Dragon Aspects’s power being infused and the titanic power of the ruby lifepools would make protodragon eggs mature into a member of an aspect’s flight.

I imagine other protodragons besides the Aspects were uplifted. Alexstrasza’s first mate, Tyranastrasz, was supposed to be even older than her according to one of the books, which means he also would have been born a protodragon.

They seem to be ignoring the dragons being infertile. There’s plenty of whelps and eggs in DF with no comment on the infertility plot point from Azsuna.
I’d wish they’d at least handwave an explanation instead of just ignoring it. Dumb as it was it still happened.

I believed they mentioned that these eggs are from the last clutches laid before they became infertile and were kept in stasis or whatever. Apparently, dragon eggs don’t hatch until they are made ready to do so.

Chronicles says the were created by Freya, and they were her favorite creations. But with the new lore books in game it seems that may not be entirely true, Life derived from Chaos, and evolution, near to these magical font’s of water infused with Azerite.

Chronicle never links Freya with dragons. Freya was connected to the Wild Gods.

Dragons evolved from elementals that escaped imprisonment in the Elemental Plane.

Freya considered them her children and claims to have created them, now there’s a lot of false claims the titans made. She considered them her favorite creation and tied them to the Emerald Dream through G’hanir.

That’s why it was strange Y’sera went to Ardenweald because her connection to Freya was stronger than most, With Eonar gifting the green dragonflight their ability to enter the dream.

I fully expect this to be an ever evolving thing now that we know the Titans lie about a lot of things, but this was always established. There’s a render of Freya in Scholazar Basin at the ordering of Azeroth being surrounded by dragons.

The Emerald Dream was totally recontextualized in Shadowlands to be the realm of Life where living Wild Gods usually Dwell. It was noted by our broker guide in the Shadowlands lore book that Titans and their servants have a nasty habit of claiming they create things when they actually order things, so there is that to consider as well. Even with that aside, Freya only had a hand as a conduit for Eonar’s power, like the other titan keepers during the blessing of the core flights.

No that’s not true at all, what was said was the Emerald Dream and Ardenweald form a cycle, they are still seperate. The ED is the realm of Spring and Summer, Ardenweald is the realm of Fall Winter, playing off seasonal motifs of Life and Death. Which suggests that the Emerald Dream is tied to Life, this it not new information.

The dragons were immortal, they were bound to the realms of Life, not Death. When or if they “died” they were sent to G’hanir, not Ardenweald.

Now, this lore changed circa Legion. They quietly severed ties betwee the Dragon’s and G’hanir making G’hanir only for the children of Avianna and all birds, but it was orginally supposed to be for all flying creatures, including dragons.

Again, you’re thinking of the Wild Gods. Chronicle never claims this about dragons at all. It’s the Wild Gods that Freya did this to.

Also it doesn’t even claim she created the Wild Gods, just that she found them and raised them.

I think you actually mean the Wild Gods, not dragons.

Especially since we know the proto dragons evolved from elementals that managed to stay in Azeroth.

No I’m not, the original lore included dragons. Which I have acknowledged multiple times, could have changed. there was a change in lore circa Legion. I acknowledged that.

Source? You have made a lot of claims that Chronicles says ‘X’ and whenever asked for a quote, you tend to either refuse or ignore it.

The Red Flight lost all of their eggs when Alex’s mate discovered that every single one of them had been corrupted by the Twilights and he torched both them and himself.

Where is this lore?

You did also say “The Chronicle says” earlier about it, as Denona pointed out. But I don’t believe The Chronicle ever says Freya created the Flights or that they were her favorite creations. It only mentions she empowered Ysera. Nor about them being her favorites.
