It’s been about 12 hours that the game does not let me do Dragon Isles Unravelling. I go to Dragon Isles Unravelling, I select TATTERED WILDERCLOTH and It keeps giving me an error “That item is not a valid target”
Seconded. Had this problem last night, still persisting today, even with add ons turned off.
I have a similar issue. I can select a cloth and the game removes it automatically. I did not have this problem last night. After today’s update I’m no longer able to use unravelling.
Same issue. Relogging let me add a reagent to the window, but it gives me the “not a valid target” error message when I try to use it.
Worked when I first learned Dragon Isles Tailoring but after playing for about 5 hours stopped and had same issue where it removes it within 5 seconds when I try to add it and then if I am fast enough it just says the “Not a valid target”. So my guess is the new feature of selecting the item you wanna “Unravel” is the issue since all other features seem to work. (edit) if it is inside the reagent bank it doesn’t work but if I put it in my bags it fixes it.
I figured it out! It doesn’t like it being in the reagent bank. I took them out and it works fine now.
OMG, that’s exactly it. I mean, that’s crazy and needs to be fixed, but that’s exactly it.
I confirmed that you must take your wildercloth out of the bank in order to unravel it. They need to either fix it so you can use it from reagent bank or the error message needs to be changed to something like “You must have this material in your bags”. I know which I prefer!
I’m able to unravel but every time I hit “Unravel All” it unravels 2 spools and then stops. Ideas?
I had this issue when an addon was giving me lua errors. I can’t remember which addon, but a lot have been updated and I am no longer having that issue, thankfully.
3 days later and i got the same issue, i cant unravel, it doesnt matter if i deactivate elvui or not.
+1. Can confirm!
I had the same issue, and it was fixed when I took the materials from the bank and put them in my inventory. I relogged after doing that, and it worked.
My thought is that it expects you to be leveling and not doing mass anything so it stops so you can see if you got to the level you wanted. New system is so anti-commodity that it doesn’t want to work on any mass production.
I don’t have a reagent bag of any kind and I’m having this issue both for my unraveling and my shattering in enchanting. It doesn’t let me select an item to use from the dropdown menu.
Unravelling allows me to select Tattered Wildercloth, but when I try either mass unravelling or singles, it errors “that item is not a valid target”. Now that I’ve used all my wilderthread, I’m at a standstill on tailoring. Please fix this. I foresee unreasonable prices on the AH for thread, just like what happened when the enchants were screwed up!
But go ahead meanwhile and unravel your Wildercloth! Because THAT works, pfft.
Still happening unfortunately with the item in the reagent bank. But the regent bag is working now.
Thank you! I had the same Blizzard UI error, moved them to my local bags and now able to work correctly.
Ty for figuring it out and posting the fix
I noticed I don’t get any inspiration procs when unravelling…I have 27% inspiration chance.
Same issue with resourcefulness… I have 28% resourcefulness and have never received a proc that reduced the amount of cloth required below 5. I wanted to focus on this for my build and dropped most of my points in things that’d benefit this and it doesnt work. Would love blizz to fix this
