I am not sure if this is addressed in the Dragonflight story yet, or I may have missed it, maybe a lore expert can tell me otherwise.
But in the Quest The Last of the Last back in Legion in Azsuna, we are informed that due to the loss of power of the dragons, they can no longer bear any eggs.
So why is that there is just… eggs everywhere now? Did the Dragon Isles have some sort of storage where all the Dragonflights eggs are stored? If there is one thing that is bothering me so far in the Lore, is this.
Has anyone seen any information regarding this? or was the unable to bear any egg part completely retconned?
I believe that by the isles awakening, and fixing the oathstones and such we brought the power back. So now they can produce again. At least that’s what i gathered from the story.

I thought it was because the Aspects lost their power and that meant that all the dragons couldn’t produce anymore?
They are in the process of getting it back. We even got Ysera back. I believe soon the aspects will be fully restored.

I thiiiiiiiiiiiiink its just the aspects that cant make eggs. Other dragons can.
I guess Titan logic is “Well you stopped the hour of twilight. You’re not needed anymore”
The current writers don’t seem to know a lot of the nuance of the earlier game. The depowering of the aspects in Cataclysm and the infertility/decline of the flights doesn’t seem to be addressed at all. Aside from turning on The Oath Stones.
It’s little things that get me. Like there’s a proto-drake enemy called an Empowered Rimefang, or something to that effect. Which is a really cool name! Because it was the actual proper name of a dragon in Wrath of the Litch King. No one on the current team seems to know that.

Were the dragon isles canonically found back during SL and us players were just late to the party, or did dragons just get busy really fast? lol

Believe that was retconned because it was absolutely ridiculous wish they’d do the same too Alexstrazsa and how she apparently feels about what was done to her by the Orcs with the help of Deathwing and his right hand man Sabellian.
