Dragon Aspect Allied Race

I was raiding the Dragon Soul and this popped up in my mind that a Dragon Aspect would be an very awesome Allied Race.

Like Ryu from BoF?

I’d think from a lore point of view a bit too powerful for a player race but would be awesome to.

They’d be cooler as a class hero imo.

Ha, dragon aspects might be a little too powerful for player characters, but dragonkin could work in a setting where you can give players interesting racials based on the color of their flight. Various pen-and-paper RPGs have races like this.

I’d love to play as an emerald dragon druid, or just give me an emerald drake flight form and I’d be just as happy.

Lol@ those who say a little too powerful. With all the crap they have us doing and calling us champions and saviors Id say we are just a perfect fit for a dragon lol

You cannot activate Dragon-Form here, you aren’t technically outside…
Dammit!

As a class for players? Perhaps!
we just need blizzard to feel generous!

How to race? Which faction would they ally with?

Imo they would be similar to pandaren where they choose a side. Assuming there still are sides since we did end the war now

I would LOVE to play as a dragon(ish) character.

My friends and I talked about this before. It could be a hero class and count for both your race and class.

You could pick the colour of your dragon and a humanoid race you could change into while out of combat, kinda like a worgen. When in combats you would take on a your (all be it) small dragon form.

The talent tree could be set up to determine whether you’re a tank, dps or healer. Glyphs could be used for things like a minor speed boost (5 or 10%) or the ability to carry a passenger.

Equipment would still be used as normal but probably wouldn’t Change your dracoform appearance much. Maybe some armor here and there.

Being a class and race combined you could have claw and bite attacks, tail attacks breath weapons etc.

Oh. I would subscribe permanently if we could play a dragon. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Aunt Blizz did not like the pandarens, as a race in 2 factions!
They will not repeat the process with any new breed created from now on!

Its been suggested along with ogres naga the excuse is always armor/gear/mounts/under the hood mechanics.

Sad panda noises

Dragon-ish race

Lightforged Draenei are immortal and do not require food or drink (if I recall the bit from, ‘A Thousand Years of War,’ correctly when X’era explained how Turalyon wouldn’t need those once Lightforged).

Velves are living embodiments of the entropic cosmic horror that is the power of the Void.

Zandalari are trolls so blessed and favored by the Loa that they can completely regenerate their bodies in a matter of seconds, and call upon the blessings of their Loa consistently and without fail.

We long ago crossed the threshold where a race being, “too powerful,” is a reason not to add it.

Not immortal they were in the nether and also inside a bubble essentially time was all over the place and the naaru was basically a giant drug dealer.

Time is distorted in the nether but it still flows. Turalyon and Alleria both lived a thousand years in the span of 30 or so. If Turalyon hadn’t been made immortal, he would’ve died long ago.

Hes not immortal he was basically shot up with the light the naaru was keeping them alive.
Was kinda the whole reason alleria caught hell for the void stuff the naaru needed her hooked on the bright stuff.

“Turalyon and Alleria trained aboard the Army’s dimensional ship, the Xenedar. After many years, Turalyon was infused with the Light by Xe’ra, granting him immortality.”
