Since the most recent update, my character’s mining skills won’t update in WoD. Under mining skills, the Draenor mining skill has been moved to the bottom of the skill window and is stuck at 11. The character is currently level 94.
How are you trying to increase mining skills?
The Garrison mine and Herb Garden no longer give, skillups. Only ore or herbs gathered outside the garrison do.
The DMF also has a nasty habit of arbitrarily teaching the profession skill for higher level expansions. I have toons in their 40’s that suddenly listed BC, WoD, and sometimes Cata in their profession window and the DMF always applies it’s 5 skillup points to the highest level expansion.
I was on one level 40 -ish toon this week who only had 280 in a classic profession but his DMF points went to Cata. I have other <60 toons that are 300/300 classic and suddenly had BC and WoD in their profession window and their points all go to WoD.
Okay. So this is a Necro-bump of sorts…
But I opened my mining window and Draenor mining is listed at the bottoms of the list. (Underneath classic)
It’s level 100/100.
Its bugging OCD that Draenor mining isn’t underneath Legion. 
Yeah it’s disappointing but not actually a bug. They decided that if you don’t have any recipes in a subsection, it gets put at the bottom. I guess because if you think about a crafting prof like Blacksmithing, what do you need that subsection sitting up there for if there’s nothing in there to make.
But of course Draenor was the only expac in which there were no recipes for Mining. Smelting stopped after Pandaria and the 3 star system didn’t start till Legion. So by the current design it is doomed to be down there forever.
