I keep seeing people say this is a ‘free’ item you can make with your garrison. Maybe it’s been too long since I was in WoD but I can’t seem to get how people say it’s free. Fishing is easy enough but doesn’t make it free so I’m wondering if someone can point out the part I’m not getting.
I’d like to start making them on my alchemist.
I am unsure but I would imagine it’d mean using the trading post to buy the mats maybe? As far as I’m concerned it’s never really been “free” without effort that is
They simply mean it’s free as in it cost no gold. No monetary investment required, however it still requires a time or effort investment.
Mainly just be an alchemist and fish up the mats to make it yourself, or dump garrison resources into the Alchemy building workorders and the these elixirs (along with all the other various draenor alchemy potions and elixirs) have a chance to be contained in the alchemy workorders (alchemy experiment) that you open up.
Also doing the follower missions can sometimes result in them bringing back fish for you (with fishing net buff for shipyard missions, so chance to be the ones to make the elixir), and also follower missions for resources to dump into the alchemy building and send followers out on even more missions to gather more resources…
But overall the quickest and easiest way is to just fish the fish you need yourself. Especially if you have a level 3 fishing shack, as you can simply get fishing bait for exactly the fish you want from Nat Pagle, and fish them up quickly in your garrison.
Well fishing is still ridiculously east either way so I’ll still give that a go.
Now that I think about it, there is a fishing net that yout can attach to your garrison ships, every time you complete a missiom you get a random amount of fish, but not always the one required for the elixir
You build a level one Alchemy shack, Collect the free resources from the Garrison Cache and the missions trade them for the 2 fish needed in the Trading Post(only need a level 1 trading post also). Take the fish to the alchemy shack and they can be made there even if you don’t have alchemy as a profession. Same goes for the Goblin Glider just need a level 1 Engineering Shack.
