Preface: Yes, I’ve read around, I know it’s quite uncommon, and in fact this is the only one of several I’ve made who has one. I’m just sharing this as an idea that seems appropriate and possibly interesting from an RP standpoint.
Dinaeria here is one of the few Draenei who still follow a tradition dating back to the exodus from Argus. During those terrifying times, there was a family group who became trapped and unable to reach a safe escape.
Enter one named Keleos, who had reached safety but heard of this family’s plight, and set out with a band of comrades to rescue them. The details of this heroic effort have been lost in the mists of time, but suffice it to say that he was successful…though in so doing, Keleos made the ultimate sacrifice. The family, to honor the memory of this selfless act, adopted Keleos’ name as a surname.
Thus, Dinaeria Keleos, one of the few young Draenei who continue to honor this ancient hero, without whose bravery she would simply not exist. It somehow seems a fitting, if rare, choice for a proud people who rather literally went through hell to finally reach Azeroth.
