Draenei RP question

I’ve recently been working on an alt of mine and I’ve been looking up as much information about Draenei as I can. One thing I’m having difficulty is the details on what jobs or professions might have outside of the usual vidicator, rangari, and crystalsmith, and engineer roles.

Would anyone be able to help elaborate more on something your typical Draenei would fill? I’ve always preferred to get a bit more creative with characters but the Draenei make me scratch my head a bit on what you can do with them. Thank you!

Great question! I used to run a draenei guild so I know a little about this. They can be your average civilians—think merchants, faire carnies, elekk/talbuk/nether ray tenders or breeders, farmers, fishermen, and blacksmiths. In Draenor’s Shadowmoon Valley, prelates are civilians who are regional administrators and work in a council. There also guards called peacekeepers, healers/medics, shaman seers, astronomers, researchers, instructors/schoolteachers, and artificers who can work in construction or with artifacts.

I suggest taking a look at the NPCs around the Exodar and the villages of Draenor’s Shadowmoon Valley if you have not already to maybe help jump-start some ideas!

All of the various jobs that keep society running… butcher, baker, candlestick maker and so on.

Draenei aren’t excempt from the needs that everyone else has, food, drink, and a safe place to hang a hat. So if you can imagine a human job that needs be done, you can slot in a draenei to do it as well.

Thank you! This helps a good bit, and going to WoD content areas definitely good spots to check out for some inspiration!

Jewelcrafter (crystalsmith for the everyman), priests, Elekk handler, medic (they’re medics VERY often), pilots, politicians/Alliance ambassadors
