I can understand why they could not be warlocks, I’d hate to be a warlock if I was a survivor of Argus…but rogues? It’s the 100% best way to take out warlock eradars when they don’t see you coming. Charging into an eradar warlock as a warrior isn’t the best idea yet they still became warriors.
There wasn’t a lore reason, they just never got around to adding them like Goblin/Worgen Monks.
Worgen monks was a huge missed opportunity, punching and scratching the enemy with your werewolf claws.
Still waiting for the day Blizzard lets folks xmog to fight with their fists
Worgen fighting with weapons at times feels wrong.
We were told a looooong time ago that the devs at the time didn’t believe they could be sneaky with hooves.
…despite them having access to Camouflage as hunters at the time they said it.
Draenei Rogues do exist in lore.
I was hoping against hope that someday they’d give Worgen in particular an exclusive option to fight in Worgen form for its combat druid forms. They have all the biting, all the clawing, etc. to make it make sense.
Probably a big ask, but they did something similar for Moonkin with the Glyph of Stars.
There always was lore for Draenei Rogues and they’re called Rangari Scouts and Rangers in WOD.
Hunters, and Rogues are the class for this group and also called the Eyes of the Prophet.
Rangari Chel, even though she is classified as a Hunter she holds two daggers like a Rogue among other Rangari Scouts in WOD, FYI.
I know I can’t wait to make one.
I already have enough of each class. Lol. I have too many to level already.
I was aiming to re-distribute the “main” character of each class to one of each race, but realized I would have to throw off my class balance and make a draenei or gnome mage and naw.
So I’ll just have 2 humans/dwarves and no draenei/gnome in my main 12 toons. Lol.
*Clop, clop, clop, clop
That’s literally it
Same here sister, I want lightforged rogue for that sneaky orbital strike racial.
There really is no lore argument against certain races not being able to be Warriors, Priest, Mages, Rogues and Hunters.
Any race can be a Warrior. Any race can be a Hunter. Any race can be a Mage, or a Rogue or a Priest.
It was stupid that Blood Elves didn’t get Warrior’s till Cataclysm, and it was stupid that Gnomes couldn’t be Hunters until Legion.
That explanation also flew out the window with the introduction of the Rangari in WoD.
There’s really been no excuse for not having them since at least Legion.
Which is stupid because if Blizzard actually, you know, played Rogues and did the Class Hall stuff in Legion. Rogue’s stealth is based off of Shadow Magic. Rogues use a lot of Shadow magic in Warcraft.
the hooves…clonk clonk.
Yep, that too. People forget that aspect of it.
Rewatch the Alliance ending for Legion. When Shaw shows up, he’s stepping around people very carefully, After Genn acknowledges him, you actually hear a sound effect for breaking stealth at about 45 seconds.
I mean the grimtotem have existed lol. And Mishka was added in MoP.
Same reason as no Tauren Rogues.
Big hoof creature = no sneaky.
That’s about it.
Which is an absurd argument. On pavement, maybe, but out in the world, hooved creatures can be very stealthy.
