It’s an interesting idea.
The introduction of red skin options with the Man’ari quest line was a little out of left field. People have been asking for them since before Legion, but I don’tthink anyone ever expected it tohappen before they were datamined. The addition of the story quests instead of just adding them as options does suggest that it may be a set up for something more and the heritage armor quests seems like a logical conclusion.
The clipping is going to be next level.

I will be severely disappointed if it doesn’t have crystals 
I predict that we will visit Shattrath and Argus get blessed by the Naaru save the Broken and unite the different factions of Draenei and get to wear crystals.

I want Draenei Heritage armor befitting my 25-thousand-year-aged-arcane-endowed-priest-of-the-Holy-Light-survivor-of-OG-Argus-Draenor-refugee Blue Eredar. I want to look like Mac’Aree on the runway, like the Exodar made into high-couture-fashion, like a high priest of Karabor. Do not make my Draenei look like some primitive hut-dweller. Lol.
Mostly I think I want the armor sets I’ve imagined we might have received for the canned Shattrath City raid tier back in WoD.

It’s not, but that set is also already in the game; the Shattered Sun guards wear it. Players cannot get the shoulders or gloves, but that would be really underwhelming for heritage gear. Like giving Night Elves the NPC Sentinel mog that has like… two pixels.
why would draenei need their own heritage armor when paladin tier 5 is still in the game
