So, I saw someone with a warrior transmog that was supposed to look like Dracula (specifically from Castlevania), and I want to try the same thing with a warlock, because I think it’s more fitting.
I haven’t played warlock before. Someone who’s familiar with Castlevania, what would the most fitting spec be for this?
I don’t know. Maybe Affliction? But Affliction got nerfed and Venthyr Warlock Covenant Ability is catastrophically bad (Dammit I did it again).
So play it at your own discretion. Maybe the covenant tuning for it will come and it won’t come anytime soon.

Is Affliction what it sounds like? Diseases and such? Because that doesn’t sound much like Dracula.
Probably, Affliction and Unholy are rot classes that revolve around DoTs (Affliction more than Unholy as Unholy is not DoT oriented right now), the closest class that you describe much like Dracula would be a Blood Death Knight.
And Venthyr DK ability is not that bad either. It’s much better than Impending Catastrophe.

It also doesn’t have to be a class good for Venthyr, as fitting as it would be for Dracula. I’m fine with going Maldraxxus if that’s whats best for whatever class.
Which dracula? anime dracula or the game version?
I personally prefer to try for a Chrono trigger Magus theme on a void elf.

I’m not sure exactly how different they are but more looking for anime dracula.
Different hair colors mostly, maybe a different eye color even.
I would say, void elf destruction warlock would suit it best, void elves can port, have dark hair colors to match drac, use fire magic with a side of shadow magic and debuffs.
Problem is getting the transformation and “bat” aspect down.
Edit; Thinking of the bat aspect, perhaps maldraxxus cosmetics can help with that.
If we’re talking from Castlevania, the closest would actually be destruction. Dracula turned into a bat, could teleport, summon lightning and fireballs. The only thing a Warlock can do of those things is the fireballs, really.
Mage would actually be a much better fit. They also get an older transmog which makes you look a bit like a vampire, but it’s not how Dracula looked.
Yeah but at least with destro, you can summon imps, mages don’t really have anything but one aspect of what drac use, fire.
And maybe blink
Honestly, if we’re talking the literary Dracula, any Warlock class would do as he’s… essentially a Warlock. Yes, in terms of physicality, he is indeed a vampire, but he’s a highly educated vampire who literally went to Lucifer University.
Dracula was trained at the Scholomance. Yes, that is where where that name and concept comes from - the same traditional Romanian Folklore that Stoker used for his vampire, and yes, he is explicit in the mention. So Dracula was taught the dark arts by Satan directly, and was one of the lucky 9/10 graduating classmates who wasn’t sent directly to hell as tuition.
Anything the Warlock has to offer, Dracula probably took classes on it.

That, I understand, but seeing as I don’t know much about the specs, I’m pretty much asking between demonology and destruction.
Void Elf Warlock maybe? They got the collar, shame Draenei can’t be Warlocks, they do rock the Transylvanian middle eastern accent… (Vlad III or Vlad the impaler, is middle eastern in origin).
Demonology would probably be the best best, nothing about a Warlock really screams “Dracula” to me in particular other than Demonology’s summoning of Dreadstalkers, as it is a vampiric custom to use and summon familiars and other controlled animals.
Dracula was a lot of things, but bombastic? …Not so much. He wasn’t interested in destruction - domination and power, sure, but his goals were infiltration and corruption.
He wanted London as his buffet, not to watch it burn.
He did have a wide array of dark servants, though. Copious toadies and of course his multiple brides. He was Count Dracula, afterall, meaning he held a specific office of power and dominion.
To that end, Demonology would make more sense.

Did you happen to get a screenshot?
Mine is based more on the Hellsing version of Dracula, but… meh, close enough.
You’re going to have to find new boots though.
Actually I think the cloak is Alliance exclusive too. You shouldn’t have a problem finding a red cloak though.

I’d go with a shadow priest. Lore wise Dracula searvedthe church and Christianity until his wife’s death. That’s when he went all Count Dracula. So start holy and work into shadow
