So the Dracthyr unlock on November 15th 2 weeks before stores will give us collectors editions. Does this mean Dracthyr are going to be playable even without a Dragonflight key for 2 weeks or what? Nothing has been said.
99% sure you will only be able to play Drakthyr/Evokers if you have purchased Dragon Flight
But you are correct, I cant recall Blizz specifically saying that

Yeah I and I bought Dragonflight as a collectors edition which stores won’t hand out until launch day. Dracthyr release 2 weeks before the code lol.
They don’t email you a code for DF when you order the collector’s edition?

Collector’s Edition will ship early November. I got an email from the gear store saying it.

They do not. There is a pinned thread about it. Code only comes in the box. This prevents people from ordering, getting the code, then canceling for any “pre-order perks.”
As for the OP’s question, Dracthyr are locked behind owning Dragonflight. You will need to pre-order one of the editions to be able to play them on Nov 15th or after. They are not free to everyone such as the Talent Changes.
So what you can do is buy the cheapest digital version of Dragonflight right now so you can play Dracthyr on the 15th, and when you get your physical collector’s edition, Blizzard will refund the purchase of the digital license to your battle net balance.
They have done this since Legion iirc.

Oh, never realize that thread since I didn’t buy the collecter’s edition. I figured in this day and age, you buy the hard copy and the code is emailed to you before you get the hard one. Seems like an oversite/bad decision from Blizz.
This would be the first time I would receive the CE early enough to use the code for any kind of early perks. I’ve always had to either wait it out and suffer, or when the digital purchase became an option, get that and refund it (or reuse the code for my wife) when I get the CE.
I agree in some fashion, but after working in a video game store while in college I seen so many ways people would scam the system for the perks.
I actually enjoyed the people that would put in a $5 pre-order, get the code printed on the receipt, then ask for a return all in the same 5 minutes. At least they were being honest and yes those codes still worked. You can literally do this today with most physical pre-orders at certain big box stores. A little harder with digital though.
I got the email stating that my CE will ship in early Nov like everyone else. Got that for SL too but it still arived a day after launch. Never once had my CEs get to me before hand. At least they do the store perks which I eventually use on mounts and pets when they go on sale.
Stores aren’t selling the CE, so I don’t understand this comment.
They ship early November.
At least yours arrived. Mine was lost in shipping and they didn’t have the decency to tell me until I bounced between the CS sites a dozen or so times.
Never order hard collectors if you want to play during pre-release.
