Not only are the melee combat animations really satisfying but Visage racial + Second Wind means downtime between combat is minimal. Highly reccomend.
Colossus tank has flavor, I would love a Dk dracthyr too as well but current lore has not flexed far enough yet.
And yet they’re one of the worst looking visual wise, not to mention the awful skin condition you’re forced to have.

Too bad their model of “twink geeko” is awful and unfit for a warrior, only gnomes are worse.
When they can look like the drakonid, proper, humanoid dragons, then i can give a though

Gnomes, vulperas, lanky arms races like nelves, tbh there are several races that look the less like to be able to be warriors.
Dracthyrs were literally made to be Super Soldiers, so i like to believe that their thin frames actually hide inmense physical abilities.
Btw, speaking of the animations, if you look at them closely (using the narcissus addon to preview them and slow them down for example). There is a neat detail there that for most of the animations both the tail and wings move out of the way when doing swings that usually bring your character swinging their weapon near their backs, with only ridiculous wide weapons managing to clip. Thats some nice cared detail there

Those you listed look awful yes, but dracthyr look far worse, because their model is bad by default. The idea of 'androgynous" dragon ended up as a flop due to then looking like tumblr furry/scally version of the drakonid
And yet, they look like twinks, with no mass on their bodies?
They have small shoulders, a goofy tiny head, skinny neck and a flat weird chest, which make a weird contrast with their skinny limbs with big hands/feat, it just looks terrible and out of proportions
Even if you get the “bulky” option, it looks awful with short arms and tiny shoulders.

And im sure we would, if it was prior Legion. Cause it follows the same frame as worgens( broad shoulders, thick neck, normal head size).

Still wish we coulda chose your visage race to be any of our current races with some dragon features, but I couldn’t begin to imagine the scope that would have added to Dracthyr as well as if they introduce any new races having to add dragon customizations in addition to their normal ones.

Main reason they will never do that is because it would be a race with a free quasi race change. Add in glide and visage health regen out of combat and it will be a very popular race.

Not rly, that rly matter these days with the amount of toys.
You dont get the racials of said race so yeah, even if your Drachtyr can look like a night elf or an orc, its pointless if you dont get shadowmeld or hardness
the real problem is if they let people chose their visage it means blizzard admit they made a mistake on their design
They look terrible compared to an orc.

i got tired of my transmog inspection always defaulting to the lizard form and not displaying/ forum avatar being bad unless i wore one transmog.

That’s so weird, on my evoker it defaults to my visage for transmog looks. But yes, forum avatar sometimes makes me think I’m talking to the same dracthyr a lot lol.
I use better transmog so I assume it was a bug with the addon
