Dracthyr Visage Forms - Does Anyone Really USE Them?

Personally, I don’t. If I wanted to play as an Elf, I’d roll an elf. I rolled my Dracthyr, Azurion, to play as a MOTHER-FLIPPIN’ DRAGON, and so a MOTHER-FLIPPIN’ DRAGON I shall be, dagnabbit!

But this is a forum for discussion, not just for opinions. I’d love to hear some other opinons/counterpoints/what-have-you! Just… Y’know, be sure to keep it civil. xD

I use them because I think a winged humanoid with wings bigger than the flying mount I’m on looks really freaking stupid.

If drakthyr could actually fly I would never use my visage.

The fact that it’s not an elf makes me not use it. That fact is also why I just don’t play drac.

I don’t like visage form, but i feel forced to use it while riding, cause makes no sense a dragon mounted on other dragon.

Soar need to become full dragonriding. there is no justify to keep it like it is now. There is no advantage over other classes.

When it happen, i will never activate visage form again.

Yeah i actually always use the human form. I hate the dragon form I wish there was a glyph to stay in human form all the time!

If memory serves, not using the visage form is gimping you in raids and the like for the off healing it does when out of combat. I’ve not played evoker in forever, but I think it was something along the lines of 5% health regain for the whole party while out of combat? Back then, only worked while in your visage form.

Don’t care for the two options although I have many belf males on my horde server, so I barely, if ever use visage form. I do wish the dragon form was beefier, but not the end of the world.

i actually went through an hilarious amount of effort (for me) to get the Normal Abberus Set for transmog, specifically because I use my visage form often.

I also have way more fun than i’d like to admit color coordinating my visage forms hair with drathyr form’s scales.

Only thing I wish was that auto-change thing to be somewhat consistent. I have an idea of which attack will force me into dracthyr form in combat, but for whatever reason I will be swapping back and forth and have no idea why.

They are more like geckos with broke wings that don’t work. Related to dragons but falling short…well kind of like cousins with too much inbreeding.

That being said, do you want to save up to 15% of your gold by switching your dragon flying insurance?

When Dragonflight launched, I was playing a Preservation Evoker talented specifically so I could heal without ever leaving Visage Form. The actual Dracthyr Form is hideous.

(The only thing that transformed me was the breath heal, which I took off my bar for all leveling / low-end endgame content. I didn’t grief keys by playing that way though)

Until they open it up to more races I don’t use it .

Yeah but see, the visage is fun, because you can be a Humie on Horde side, if your Draccy is female. I am also biased to female Humans. (I just wish they existed in real life)

I’ve been using mine cause I like the effects of the celestial cape thing from the store transmog. But typically nah.

I use my visage when dragonriding because its really dumb seeing a dragon with wings have to ride another dragon.

I prefer my visage form to dracthyr form.

It is a noticeable difference, example

To the OP though, I’m typically always in normal racial form myself, do sometimes dip into visage for transmog which is the only thing I am particularly sad about the race in that the normal race form basically can’t use transmog.

Our visage form is more like human with elf ears with lame human dance instead of shuffle in visage form.

I use visage form as an RP prospective on character background. From ugly dragon to beautiful, it’s more as a self confliction I gave my character.

Plus I use the Dracthyr uglyness to repel undesirables since she resides in Moon Guard.

And this here

Nope, not me. I keep both Visage Form for my Drac’thyr and Two Forms for my Worgen off my bars and never touch them. I chose those races because I wanted to be a dragon or wolf person. Why would I want to run around as a boring human?

I use mine sometimes.
