Since I’m in Visage out of combat and that’s the only time that’s calm enough for anyone to care about transmog, it doesn’t bother me in the least that you can’t see the full set while in drac form.
If you enjoy Elves or Humans, yeah, no big deal.
If you’re playing the Dragon class because you enjoy Dragons, though? It’ll get under your skin. Especially if you don’t like Elves in the first place.
Still bugging me whenever I try something out that diverges from using the baked-in draconic armour as a base. I have tier, but I can’t even show off the set as the race for whom it was designed.
Look at how gaudy and awful I look. There is nothing in the barbershop I can use to match these shoulders. The alternative is going nude… but still wearing the gaudy shoulders. Something needs to change.
All the guildies showing off their new tier as we penetrate deeper into Heroic… and I have nothing to show, even if I’ve been getting drops.
At least with the new campaign gear, I can lean into the aesthetic a little. But it’s still a far cry from tolerable.
I just wish that, like the dragon riding looks unlocks, getting certain sets, I’d settle for just tier, unlocked the look for Dracthyr in the barber shop for their non-visage form.
I doubt that we’ll see more than that.
At most they’ll just release more customization options in the barber shop.
It’s a travesty that we can’t wear gear that is deliberately and exclusively designed for our class.
especially since they could just have like “awakened” as an option for the “clothes” in the Barber shop for Dracthyr.
At the very least. Ion even said they would “do more” with Evoker tier during that first round of interviews. I was crestfallen when I finally got my hands on tier and it was as useless as any other gear, visually.
Just let me Tmog visage and dracthyr forms seperatly.
I’ll just barber shop my dracthyr once and forget about it, then I can Tmog however I want in visage.
Ion said no already to more dracthyr tmog slots
He did. After saying that they’d be able to “do more” for Dracthyr transmog with the tier sets. I am going to continue to voice my displeasure with that decision (and it was a decision - not an inherent limitation) until I finally feel burnt out enough on playing a Dracthyr to switch back to my Shaman.
I’m happy with being able to show my armor in visage form.
I play a dragon to play as a dragon. Not a Blood Elf.
I’ve got my 4-piece, but it pains me that I can only show off my shoulders.
My Dracthyr is definitely going with the nudist dragonkin look, I don’t really like the look of the barbershop armor. It’s not a huge issue for me personally since I like the look of visage form and use Chosen Identity.
I would have been more fine with it if they had made the visage as different from the base model as, say, Zandalari is from Night Elf. I hate the Blood Elf posture. I also wouldn’t have minded additional non-human skintones, like green or blue, for the visage to further distinguish them (since they’re not exactly hiding their draconic heritage). A tamer form of the Primal visages.
I’m just getting back from a months-long break. I have to say that the break wouldn’t have been as long if I had been motivated to work on a transmog for my main. But every time I go to transmog, I find myself annoyed by the limitations. As such, I’m not heading into old content since, even when I’m unlocking appearances, I’m constantly being reminded that I can’t use them.
At the very least, let us unlock some select pieces in the barbershop. Otherwise, as someone who doesn’t particularly chase numbers, most of my motivation for logging in is drastically reduced.
