Yeah, this is my biggest problem with Dracthyr. I like the class, its certainly fun and different… Absolutely hate the lack of armor appearance. Shoulders and belt just isn’t going to fly.
Obviously. Which is why I was asking for more armor styles as well as more colors.
You can fudge a fair bit to get something workable from an aesthetic standpoint though and having the colors match plays a huge role in that
I might even suggest that Evoker tier simply unlocks on the barbershop for these slots… A little goes a long way.
that… that would help a lot too and I didnt even think of it
That, it would. Perhaps there’s still a chance of it being in the cards, as Ion did state this:
When we make things like tier sets, we know that this armor is custom-made for the Evoker, and so we can do more things than we could do elsewhere.
I still think it prudent to voice my current discontent, even if there is a remote chance.
Meh, it would be neat but with Chosen Identity you’re going to have to get used to seeing yourself walking around as visage anyway and you can display transmog on there just fine.
I don’t have that toggle toggled.
I’m playing a dragon to play as a dragon.
I have no inclination to play as a Blood Elf, of all things.
Just being realistic, no amount of additional colors is EVER going to cover the bases. Unless you explicitly limit the artists to only using those SPECIFIC shades and coloring for every set of armor in the game moving forward, there’s always going to be a discrepancy.
Their best bet is, for the IMMEDIATE future, just disable belts and shoulders from the Dracthyr form as well, and then add FULL transmogging in the future (converting the existing “barbershop-armor” to be their “Heritage armor”.
They really should add the option to transmog the visage form separate from the normal form. They could basically do it the way they do spec specific transmog. Since Drakthyr only have two specs, just have a “third spec” option as the visage form.
I would ask that they do not disable belts and shoulders. They’re better than nothing, and it’s likely that if they were to be disabled, that would become a permanent situation.
I wouldn’t feign being able to advise them on the technicalities, but this is indeed a change that needs to happen.
Just like they’ve done with Druids, right? Oh wait.
Yeah even if I end up loving evoker losing out on transmog is too much to cut out of the game to consider maining it. And I dont like playing elves or humans.
I hope they allow Drakthyr to wear everything within sense soon. Id understand if they didnt wear cloaks or helms or shoes
If they made dragons playable, you’d have a point.
But they didn’t.
They made draconic humanoids. That wear armour already. And they’ve expressly stated that they have the ability to expand upon that armour selection. It’s not an equitable situation at all.
Druid forms with the talent wear armor as well. They simply chose not to expand that to the normal forms.
It’s clearly custom made for the models on which it appears, though. It would be unreasonable to expect a bear to be able to wear a robe. It is reasonable to expect a humanoid to wear more humanoid armour than the humanoid armour they already have access to.
I’m… not sure I agree. Because it forces you to have shoulders and belt either “hidden” or transmogged to match your barbershop-armor. Which means even your Visage is forced to transmog around those specific color schemes.
If they were just TEMPORARILY disabled, then you could enjoy the Visage with its own transmog, and your Dracthyr form would be able to have its own look uninterrupted.
How many “temporary” situations have become year-long ordeals, though, if not permanent?
Yeah, I’m not even sure if my idea of how to do it could work, but if someone at Blizzard sees it and it could work, it might give them ideas of how to do something that they might not have considered.
