After seeing how dracthyr priests will be able to imbue their dragon wings with either void or light magics in 11.0.5 from an article on Wowhead, it really makes me wish dracthyr were also able to be paladins.
The newly reawakened Tyr is right there with their new order of the Tyr’s Guard! And it’s known that all of the dragon aspects were buddy buddy with Tyr, including Neltharion before he became corrupted. It stands to reason that he at least would have had some paladin-like soldiers on the front lines leading the charge and healing the army as they fought.
I’m really hoping that they do something with the Tyr’s Guard to allow more races to become paladins in the future, including the dracthyr. I want to be able to pop Avenging Wrath and have my dragon wings glow in radiant light!
You know they will be Paladins in the patch that makes all races available to Paladins, yes?
They said they will, but there is a lot of stuff to do to make them available to all races, so it’s going to take more time.
Also we don’t know if they want to tie this to a certain patch or expansion due to story reasons, but it will be here eventually.
Dragon paladins would be freakin awesome, the problem with paladin class is were saddled with the Human pally and Blood elf pally player base who might as well be burning crosses into your lawn when it comes to adding more races to this class. So good luck on getting any support here on that idea lol

Hockey is Canada’s national sport, but that doesn’t mean some Canadians don’t play cricket.
It’s a game, let people play what they want. Maybe place restrictions on certain combinations on RP realms where people who are concerned that another players race choice is somehow upsetting their immersion can lock themselves away and cry.
You can justify every race being a paladin with current in game lore, people who say that certain races don’t work as paladins are just being obtuse.
Ztroll paladins are the ones that truly opened the door to it. Every race is either closely aligned to Humans (gnomes/worgen/forsaken) or have deity figures like Rezan to give them access to the Light or Light adjacent entities.
I’ve been asking for this since I first tested evoker in alpha. If they can be both warriors and priests, then why not paladins? They already have some of the animations in for paladins.
I don’t want to wait. Clearly they don’t read suggestions because I’ve been asking for this every chance I get. It’s annoying AF that Paladins have the fewest amount of races to choose from (minus DHs).
Why is it always the basic classes that get chosen? It’s laziness tbh and I love my Aug, but I want my main to be a Dracthyr. I’ve wanted to play as a dragon since before MoP. I’m so irritated by the anniversary patch having their stupid announcement for other classes and not including Paladins in the list.
The ONE thing that could make this the BEST GAME EVER (to me) is being able to be a dragon on my main.
Forgive my bluntness; I’m autistic and something so simple as being able for my paladin to be a dragon would be the most amazing thing in the world (of warcraft) to me. But instead of doing that, they put out teasers for paladin animation for Dracthyr, then they leave them out. I don’t want excuses of “eventually”. I was hoping this would be a thing early in TWW.
I can’t explain how fun Remix was playing as my first Dracthyr as a “main” for Remix, soaring around Pandaria. I soared more than I took a summon because I loved it. I don’t enjoy TWW as much as I wanted to because of this one thing.
Blizzard clearly doesn’t listen to suggestions and the only good thing about the anniversary thing I guess will be the xp boost so I can finish leveling my alts.
I was ready to jump out of my seat in the 11.0.5 announcement when they spoke of Dracthyr getting more classes, only to be let down. It’s like being a child and being super excited for xmas, opening your gifts only to get some stupid science kit while your brother got the video game you wanted.
Thanks Blizzard for the letdown. I guess I’ll continue to drag along with the current content until the one thing I’ve wanted since before MoP (after MoP was announced) finally comes. I mean, there is actual record of my asking for this over a decade ago.
Being a Paladin is being a warrior of a higher power based on faith. no other race believes more in a faith than the nightelf they literally build their culture around the moon.
You can justify a Moon Paladin. Tuarens workship the concept of the Sun, not based on the light but based on mother nature. you can give the spinoff to the night elves and will be pretty dope.
