Drac'Thyr look needs to be changed

Something is off with them and I get an uncanny valley type of feel when I look at them.

I think the Dracthyr should be beefier.

The weird skinny chest wide hips combo Blizzard went with makes me think of a femboy from Goldshire on Moon Guard, not a powerful member of Deathwing’s elite secret army.

Pardon?

I don’t like that the female form is the human doughy look.

Jesus, was the beefier body option not good enough?

Why do people do this to names?

It’s just Dracthyr.

Okay, hold up.

What’s this about Goldshire femboys?

They definitely need more options, especially head type/shape along with not making all the body types masculine leaning.

While I don’t agree with the wording you put here I agree they should be changed, but not altogether.

I’d like if it they had a more stereo-typically masculine option, androgynous option, and feminine option.

I’m all for underrepresented body types but I feel this angle doesn’t work for a lot of people.

Dracthyr really are making a lot of people tell on themselves lmao

Unironically their head looks SUPER small compared to that body.

You don’t see it?

Definitely agree. Deathwings super soldiers are just a bunch anemic elves in a scale suit.

was just looking at the female customizations: so much work put in… but this does’nt make me excited for the new race. i was hoping for more race-options for the visage-form than just ‘fem-human, or man-elf’ and this… this ain’t it.

shame… for a dragon race that can take any shape they want in their visage form, you’d think they’d pick something better than scrawny men, and scrawny gals.

heck, i mean, look at chromie, she takes the form of a gnome! Rheastrasza took the form of a goblin! sure, kairozdormu took the appearance of an elf, but before his untimely death was able to disguise himself as an orc!

just… i’m dissapointed. so much they could have done with this race, and THIS is what they choose to do with it…

I think they just went with their two most popular races, blood elf and humans, aka, rule of cool moment.

See what? Are there people using different models than the currently available in game races? What about being in Goldshire makes them look different, or how can you tell a “femboy” human model from a super manly “I would never wear pink cause I’m a dude!” human model?

Or is Goldshire also the name of a seedy IRL area where you’re from you like to frequent?

Well maybe that’s part of the appeal.

Also they’re a caster class; a lot of people do not like playing beefy casters, which is prob why in Classic a lot of people played undead casters (they had the lowest body fat; blood elves weren’t in the game yet). How often do you see tauren priests? I had to double check recently to verify that’s one of the possible race/class combinations

Look, I was pretty nonplussed by the released screenshots and concepts leading up to now, but today I must admit, when you get to see the Dracthyr in full 3D in video or in person, they can actually be made much less lean and much bulkier and intimidating than the released viduals would have led to believe. Lean builds are definitely available (and they don’t look as good imo), but you can make a much beefier true-to-warcraft-style brute as well. Watch this and see for yourself:

I like them as they are. They are casters. I am pretty tired of ripped casters. SWOLmage is what seems unrealistic more than anything.

They have four body options, including beef.
