Dracthyr Lightwarden, Paladin tease?

So let me ask you guys something.

When you see the word lightwarden, what do you think about?

A paladin or a priest?

Paladin right?

A “seer” would probably fit priest better.

There’s Dracthyr Lightwardens hanging around other human paladins in stormwind.

Does this mean we might get dracthyr paladins too?

Don’t tease me like this blizz.

Yeah '“lightwarden” definitely sounds more paladinie than priesty

Probably.

I still wish we had gotten Drakonid playable though.

A giant beefy lizardman paladin would be so cool.

God I’m hoping for a nice surprise in later builds.

Watch them rename them though…

It’s odd that earthen get paladins right off the bat when this was the chance to also give Dracthyr paladins if they are able to be priests.

“Lightwarden” is most likely a paladin title than a priest, since priest can both wield light and void it’s a less likely title to give to a priest.

I mean they named the warlock dracthyr “Felologists”.

Let’s not assume they put too much thought into those titles.

Exactly… But incase for a devils advocate for holy priests. Warden implies they’re a protector.

That’s completely a paladin theme.

If earthen can be paladins, then dracs sure as hell should be too …

Maybe. :8ball::robot:

Yeah, the idea was to make all races class open.

I don’t know why they are keeping druid, shaman and paladin locked, most races can learn and be those classes.

Dracthyr are locked out of monks and druids for some reason too.

Assets is what people say

I will be a drac priest, mainly for the extra cc for my class since we sorely need it.

I probably wont be in drac form 99% of the time and just use Visage. Y’know…transmog and all lol

However those void wings are pretty neato

When we do finally get drac paladins, I’ma make a macro for AW and drac form.

I’m hoping AW gets the same treatment for drac form that priests will

Maybe a more golden effect compared to the paler one for priests

Druid, shaman, and paladin do require a little extra work, but I do think people overexaggerate how much work it actually is for the latter two. All it takes is one mount per race for paladin, and ~4 totems per race for shaman (I say four, but each race just has one totem model in four colours).

Druid is the actually tricky one, since each race needs a cat, bear, travel, and flight form (and probably a few colours each of cat and bear).

Blizzard did say their goal is to have all race and classes combinations open, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Dracthyr Paladins at some point.

That point should be now!

Pretty sure they’ve walked that back since, saying that some combinations (like mechagnome druid as the example provided) will just never make sense.

Clearly they’ve never seen beast wars

I’m fine with it if they have, because some combinations really don’t make any sense (at least in the current lore).

Not when we have Draenie/ LFD locks and maghar locks…

At this point anything is a possibility.

It ain’t a coincidence the only classes not like that all have assets needed or time sensitive lore

Christ there’s a velf paladin in the harbinger quest line
