A patch or two ago I reported these issues in game on the PTR but they are STILL present.
They are as follows:
Familiar Skies - DOES not show up and give you the 1 minute cooldown reduction in Zaralek Cavern even with the achievement for having explored the Cavern.
Dracthyr Form Eye Texture Glitch - The right eye of the Dracthyr is glitched. You can see it looking at both eyes. One eye is clear and has a vibrant color. The other eye is has a more milky/foggy pupil and the color is not as vibrant, it is like this for both Slit and Cross eye styles with NO blind eyes.
Animation Missing - Dracthyr STILL do not have an animation for walking/running on the floor of the ocean/sea.
Animation Missing - Dracthyr when under a Rouge Stealth, or in a Quest that applies stealth. Do NOT use the Stealth animation. Instead the animation ONLY shows if you switch on the RP Walk toggle.
Missing Animation - The animation that is used for the Ardenweald Hearthstone is missing in drachtyr form, and they default to strong cast.
Bugged/Missing Animaiton - Any animation that uses the Priest’s Prayer of Healing animation set. Has an issue with Dracthyr. About 1 second of the animation is Strong Cast, then they auto get put into the Channeling Animaiton with no transition. You can see this with the Shadowlands Collector’s Hearthstone, the Kyrian Hearthstone, and the Story Quests in Zarelek Cavern where you where purge the corruption from Sabellian.
Familiar Skies - DOES not show up and give you the 1 minute cooldown reduction in Zaralek Cavern even with the achievement for having explored the Cavern
you are underground that might be why its not counting
Maybe, but the annoying thing. Is that on the 10.1 PTR I reported the issue, and they fixed it on the PTR for like a week, and then it went back to how it is now.
Honestly they need to just make it 0 cooldown since you can’t use it in combat anyhow, and maybe even just let Dracthyr use it as an alternative to Dragon Riding.
Familiar Skies “not showing up in zaralek caverns” - hadn’t noticed. Thought it was across the continent. Not important, you have dragonriding. Soar’s value comes in the old world (for now)
Dracthyr form “eye texture glitch” - what? How did you notice this? Why do you care? Are you really sitting there zooming in on your characters face? Also. That’s not a bug. Clearly you just didn’t pay attention to the character customization. You have a “blind eye”.
Animation for walking/running across the ocean floor missing… again how did you notice this? Why? There’s no underwater zones in dragon isles, and very little reason to spend time underwater. Same thing goes with the ardenweald hearthstone. Are you a nightfae? Does it matter?
“priests prayer of heailng” i’m very confused, but it sounds like nothing this affects actually matters.
In fact, it sounds like nothing you have mentioned matters. None of this is things I’d expect them to fix within a patch or 2. Maybe by next expansion. Maybe not. Nothing here has any gameplay relevance.
False, it IS a bug, and I don’t have a blind eye. Making the eyes go blind drastically changes the eye from what it is currently, ie: the Milky state.
Why do you care that I’m pointing out an actual issue in the game?
There actually ARE underwater zones in DF that have you walk across the sea floor, shows how much you know.
Yes, my character is a night fae for 1. But for 2, I happen to like using the Hearthstone in particular. OH NO, SOMEONE LIKES USING A COSMETIC THEY UNLOCKED?!!? The HORROR!!!
Obviously you didn’t pay attention. When a Priest Casts the Spell Prayer of Healing. They lift up slowly into the air, and they do a kind of chant animation, then they send the magic out.
The Kyrian & SL Collector Hearthsones use this SAME animation. ALSO, the animation is used by all characters in the 10.1 Story Quest chain. But obviously for you reading is HARD.
Nothing you MENTIONED mattered, as you literally didn’t even read my post.
These are issues with their brand new race. So yes, they matter.
The only thing irrelevant here is your uneducated commentary.
DF says OG Draconids were Tarasect (the elemental based Draconids we see in DF) that got mutated by the Aspect’s Magic to serve them/be part of thier flights. Those Draconids were then experimented on to create the Dracthyr.
EDIT:
It’s been completely non-existent for me in the caverns since at least 10.1.5, although in 10.1 it didn’t function if I had the buff appear for me.
So much anger for something so trivial. I read your post. I couldn’t respond to each thing if I hadn’t. Nothing here is vital though. It’s not like casting spiritbloom, only for it to not heal and go on CD. An actual bug. Should these issues you’ve listed be fixed? Sure, if its quick and easy. Is it important? No.
There is no underwater zone in Dragonflight. There hasn’t been one since Cataclysm and if we’re lucky never will be again.
Most of your “problems” can be solved by using a toy to change to something that isn’t a dracthyr, given they are animation issues relating to the character model, presumably. If they work as a gnome, be a gnome.
If I wanted to be a gnome, then I’d play a gnome. But I want to be a Dracthyr, so I play a Dracthyr.
There are underwear areas/mini zones. There have been in every expansion. Usually filled up with Tortollans since BfA.
In DF there is a section in the Waking Shores that has you breathe water and walk on the sea floor. Although I first noticed this lack in animation when playing through the Dread Wastes on my Dracthyr.
EDIT:
It is important, there is 0 reason for a player race not to have the full set of animations that other player models have. It’s also important to fix graphical issues present in thier playable race when it comes to eye bugs or skin bugs.
It’s also important to note that the team who would edit these things, are not the same team who would be working on Core Gameplay, and things like Casting Spiritbloom not going on CD.
So it’s not like mentioning these bugs takes away from core game design if they go to fix them. These are primarily issues and bugs for thier art team.
You want a reason? It’s an enormous game with multiple expansions worth of content. Some fishing pond not having the “correct” animation for a single race is not gamebreaking. It’s not even something most people will notice (and I know people overuse the word “most” but in this case, it’s very much true) and even if they do, it’s not hurting them, or others. Therefore, in terms of priorities, its really not important.
Same thing goes for a hearthstone animation. The hearthstone still works, right? And the animations work for everything but dracthyr in dracthyr form. Those specific animations. Which means it’s only affecting players who 1. play dracthyr, 2. play “as” a dracthyr. Personally mine is almost never in dragon form. 3. use those hearthstone animations, 4. care about those hearthstone animations and 5. Probably the most narrowing of the playerbase… they have to care about being a dracthyr, whilst they use that hearthstone animation. Priority level? Lower than anything.
It’s not just some fishing pond. SEVERAL bodies of water all over the game have that mechanic. A large part of an expansion had that content, a previous raid had that mechanic. Which considering part of why they made Soar the way it currently is, is to help players farm old content. You’d think it wouldn’t be THAT hard of a thing to overlook, considering they expected Dracthyr to do Old Content.
It’s heavily jarring visually and a bit of an immersion break in some cases, so it does hurt to a degree.
Those animations, are used for more things in the game that what I mentioned. Those are just the most common occurrences of the animation.
As I also mentioned, they don’t properly use stealth animations when covered in a Rouge cloak or in a Quest that has you stealth like the SL intro. Even though in the case of Stealth, the animation does exist, but players can only use it if they are /RP Walking.
Priority Level - Higher then making anything for the Trading Post beyond Recolors.
This is a playable race, and it was/is a CORE selling point of Dragonflight.
This is presumptuous. You’ve pointed out a few small visual bugs that “affects” a minority of players in very specific circumstances. It has no impact on their actual gameplay. The hearthstone visual may not work as intended, but they are still able to hearth. The swimming animation may not be correct, but they are still able to swim.
The phrase “mountain out of a molehill” comes to mind, but I’m not even sure that’s accurate enough. But you’re right. Stop making trading post items, no new raids. Cancel the new patch. The train must be stopped, so that your characters eye is visually “correct”
The entire process chain you just listed, involves far more then just the art and animation team that would be the one fixing these issues.
The mountain out of a molehill, would be you trying to gaslight people into believing the bugs they are pointing out in the game shouldn’t matter or shouldn’t be pointed out. These forums are for players to connect to the game Devs. Hence why people point out bugs.
Literally Dracthyr were made playable DURING the expansion that Hearthstone comes from. There is no way that animation missing is excusable.
No it’s not, even you pseudo referenced the Old World viability of Soar. Not to mention that Soar’s speed was edited as they expected Dracthyr would mog farm the older world, but didn’t want them to have too much an advantage over other player races.
Come back when you have actual knowledge about something.
SAME!!! Like once I noticed it, I can’t un-see it, lmao
I think it took an entire expansion after lightforged draenei were released to fix their /laugh emote. And it did bother me, despite how small an issue it was. These type of things are important for the players immersion to fix, so I do hope they get to these things sometimes soon!
A pointless contrarian comment. With an attitude like yours, nothing would ever get fixed or improved. Don’t bother commenting if you cant be a constructive part of the discussion. Your attitude is literally what doesn’t matter. Player experience does.
