Dracthyr Healing

I’m new to the whole Dracthyr Preservation. Done a few LFR and normal raids, but when it comes to mythic 0, I cant tell if I’m struggling or the DPS stand in the bad.

Ive looked online and other forums and I am undecided. Whats YOUR Dracthyr healings talents and stats?
Why do you prefer the talent/stats over others. Help a healah out!

My build may be different from others. I rely on HoTs most of the time. Basically cycling through Dream Breath and Reversion using Temporal Anomaly. Then dropping Emerald Blossoms and using Spiritbloom where needed.

I don’t run M+, so my build is used in M0 and Delves, both 8s and 11s.

But I’d suggest asking the Evoker forum and ask if there’s a Discord to get more insight as well.

You can check my build if you want. It worked for me in DF in keys up to 13 before the squish.

The guides on wowhead are pretty good as far as getting the basics goes.

It’s hard to get a good judge of your performance in LFR. Chances are equally good that you’ll get someone in there doing all the healing, leaving the others with nothing to do, or that half the raid will die to some avoidable mechanic regardless of how well the healers are performing.

I kinda just put the duplicate heal thing out then shotgun a spiritbloom, bwaap heal, or bronze hot. If those abilities aren’t up I just panic and assume emerald communion will know how to fix it.

True but great healing if you learn and use it.

blossom build is a good starter build, it helps you get used to the various spell interactions, while its biggest weakness is mass spread fights, even on crucible boss you can pump out enough hps for any thing below mythic.

echo build is “superior” but blossom honestly isn’t to far behind in terms of healing meter

The most powerful effect of Emerald Communion is that it gives you ~4 seconds to think, which is absolutely invaluable.

To the topic: I think Preservation Evoker is less strong now vs other healers compares to the past, but some buffs did just go out, and the spec is still more than sufficient for any tier of content. It can be complicated to play correctly, though, and you can be left panicking without good cooldown mamagement in some content.

If the DPS are getting two shot, it’s their fault.

If their health rots away and they die, it’s your fault.

As a general rule. Obviously they should still be using defensives and not standing in bad.

Just to clarify further for the OP…

Keep in mind that if there’s an ability that goes off that shouldn’t be going off because whoever was in charge of interrupts didn’t interrupt, that’s not going to be your fault.

There have also been mechanics where dps need to pay attention to how they work and if they don’t, they give themselves a massive DoT that will kill them, and other such things.

Not all rot damage that’s massive damage is the healers fault if the character dies. Some of that is designed to not be able to heal through. And some of it is designed to have the dps use their own mitigation as well as healer heals to keep them alive.

There are many situations where it’s not just “my health was ticking down and I died, it’s the healers fault.” So don’t blame yourself or get discouraged. I suggest friends for groups to help you learn. :dracthyr_heart:

Firstly i would move thus to evokers section
Secondly forums arent a great place for spec advice. Go to wyrm rest discord its the office evoker class discord and there is allot of resources there.

Now as for your question evoker are combo burst healers. You need to preplan combos for damage IE stasis>dreambreath 1> engulf>engulf > release stasis
Or temproal> echo> verdent> emerald communion
As well as maintaining revsersions on people via temporal echos etc.

As for talents simply go to wowhead and search pres evoker talents. And copy paste
