Dracthyr dragon form sound bug compilation abilities/emotes

This is a post that will try and be comprehensive as possible listing every bug currently with dracthyr regarding the additional classes the race received. I will start with a bug report that I recently sent:

Dracthyr in dracthyr form have no sound effects for certain abilities. This is noticeable when you compare activating an ability in visage vs dragon form. Abilities include several from warrior including mortal strike, execute, rampage, impending victory (unsure for victory rush base), raging blow, onslaught, slam(dual wielding)/hamstring(dual wielding), demolish (partially and varying on spec), and revenge. I am certain these sounds are tied to the animations too as other classes are affected.

(Note that pummel is said to be affected too so note for Blizzard here to take)

In my report, I mainly spoke of warrior. I am certain however the issue is tied to select animations as there are a couple animations for dracthyr in dragon form where the sounds play correctly. It can also explain why the sound issues is wide spread to all melee classes when you can find abilities that do work versus ones that do not.

Now besides lack of ability sounds, lets move on to emotes which is much more simple. They absolutely do not work in dragon form for NON-evoker classes. Meaning no sound for ANY of them. I hear too that no dialogue including error quips work. Even weirder, people say if there is dialogue it’s in the male voice. I play as male characters so I’d have never catch that, but I want to make sure everything is here.

Please post anything else I might have missed or insight. Until this is fixed, will bump this thread weekly and edit in anything I missed that is brought up.

UPDATE
I’m alive! Below is edited to current issues as far I myself am aware.

TLDR
Dracthyr in dragon form are missing:
A. Sounds for select abilities (mainly the impact of weapon against target) (Fixed on 11.1 PTR)
B. Sounds emotes (Strictly EVOKERS)
C. Error speech for NON-EVOKERS.
C. Voicelines don’t play when using a mount to fly and using Aerial Halt. (Caught by Lunae!)

Dracthyr in humanoid form issues:
a. Abilities with vocals play two voices (at least with bestial wrath according to Mjpall)

Incorrect sounds:
A. Male voice for female on occasion is heard
a1. For female dragon form dracthyr, vocals from actions, grunts (being attacked, attacking and the like), etc are the male dragon form voice (Based on playing a dracthyr hunter)

B. Pandaren voice for one of the dracthyr charge voice lines (Thank you Battlecruisr!)
C. A female dracthyr triggers the male grunting voiceline on every cast of Aerial Halt (either / version of it) when using Soar at max cruising speed. (Also Lunae, thanks!)

Also, one of dracthyr warrior’s charge voicelines also plays the pandaren charge voiceline

Added that to the list at the end. Thank you! Also edited the post to state will add anything else that is brought up and not there. That way it’s all in one place.

For incorrect sounds:
A female dracthyr triggers the male grunting voiceline on every cast of Aerial Halt (either / version of it) when using Soar at max cruising speed.
Dracthyr are unable to Soar in visage form, so this was not tested in Visage.
Voicelines don’t play when using a mount to fly and using Aerial Halt.

However can you explain the unable to soar in visage form one? I have a dracthyr warrior and I can transition to dragon form just fine when casting soar.

They’re saying they cannot test what voiceline aerial halt plays during visage as soar requires dragon form. Although aerial halt playing a male grunt isn’t specific to non evoker dracthyr, its been a thing on evoker since aerial halt was added.

Some good news here, on the PTR emote sounds have been fixed! Hopefully this keeps up and the other issues get fixed as they are still there.

Also i noticed that with bestial wrath for hunters at least for the female dracthyr the yell or whatever sounds like 2 voice lines are overlapping each other therefore making it really loud. When you are in your humanoid form

I have a sub again and some of these issues are still here which is a pain. At the very least, weapon related sound issues are fixed on the latest PTR!

I also updated the current issues regarding emotes for EVOKERS and the lack of error speech for NON-EVOKERS.

The other issues listed I’m unaware of their status so am leaving them up for the time being. Added Mjpall’s issue to the list for a separate category. Likely won’t add anymore to it as I want to keep this thread focused on dragon form issues as per the thread’s title.

Edited issue “A” under incorrect sounds to better describe the issue. Playing a female dracthyr it was jarring hearing male dracthyr based sounds. This was should be noted in dragon form on a hunter I recently made. I even made sure emotes were correct and they were female based emotes, yet all actions were accompanied by as said the male voice.

So yes many are still an issue and I too ask Blizzard to fix this please. No player race should have this many bugs or bugs like this at ALL.

Adding to this thread, as of March 1st 2025 this is still an issue. Started playing a dracthyr mage and then recently noticed there were no audio lines while in dracthyr form. I had to get an add-on to bring back the lines but it’s not a perfect fix. When taking damage my female character also makes male sounds.

I recently created a Dracthyr Warrior (a female) and painfully it is still not fixed according to this tread and that is rather upsetting. It really hurts and breaks the emersion just hearing the male sounds for dracthyr form for females. The visage form seems to perform normally just not the actual dracthyr form itself, unless that is fixed I might refrain from using Dracthyr form because of the sound issues already presented here.

still an issue, Dracthyr warrior charge on female is playing male sounds.
