This character’s circular logic is the following.
Death Knights have been created by different entities. Like Warlocks, Lich King, Liches, etc.
BUT (this is the good part) because the last one is absent. It can no longer happen.
This is how…
Patch 10.1 (means time passed)
Ebon Blade arrives on Dragon Isles. Why?
Dragons. Lots and lots of useful dead Dragons.
Then they discover these lizard humanoid corpses and learn they are pre-historic super soldiers. Hmm? Obvious idea there.
Now you can make Dracthyr Death Knights. You play them just like any other Death Knight.
They have no wing related racial abilities because they have no wings, it’s bones. The end.
P.S. Traditional Death Knight armor is Dragon Dragon Runes Dragon Dragon. Architecture … DRAGON DRAGON SPIKES DRAGON DRAGON. Gimme a break they are perfect.
Technically from a lore point of view Dracthyr Death Knights would be possible, and would also still be able to use there wings/winged abilities.
Sindragosa was killed/died during the War of the Ancients and was able to be brought back by Arthas over 10,000 years later with her ability to fly. Though we never see a visage form in Wrath, an undead version like we have for other DK races wouldn’t be a stretch.
While yes there are differences like 10,000 years between the stasis of the dracthyr and sindragosa’s death. When you consider the lore of the past, Dracthyr that die in battle could be raised into undeath if they were ever needed.

Dracthyr are likely long lived like their dragon ancestors and they were in stasis for all of the events involving undeath. So it’s safe to say that there are no dead dracthyr except for Sarkareth and the ones who followed him. With no need to raise any new death knights and no one with the ability to raise death knights wanting to raise the few known dead dracthyr, it’s no surprises that we won’t get them any time soon. But I would race change my DK into a dead dragon in a heartbeat
