One of my characters finally made it to the Dragon Isles and, upon seeing a Sapphire Vorquin, wanted one. Wowhead informed me the only way to get one was to make a Dracthyr so I bit the bullet and created one (with the plan of deleting it when I got the mount), making them an Evoker to get that experience out of the way at the same time.
I completed the Starting Zone, got the Sapphire Vorguin and am now in Stormwind/Elwynn Forest.
And I having so much fun there is no way I am deleting her ever (fun trumps bizarre and ugly every time).
However, my experience in the Waking Shores on the original character has been mixed leaning towards… gmafb, so I have no interest in playing another character thru it at this point in time.
So here is my question:
Do I need to play my Dracthyr Evoker thru the Dragon Isles to get the most out of their story, play, ect? Will I miss out on info, abilities, other mounts, ect if I choose to play her thru Elwynn Forest, Westfall and beyond instead?
There’s a few storylines in DF: Forbidden Reach when it was end game, a storyline from Valdrakken and Zaralek Caverns. Otherwise, the MSQ doesn’t have anything to do with Dracthyr.
There is a Dracthyr only quest line in every zone. I haven’t been able to complete the one in Azure Span because Khadgar isn’t where he’s supposed to be for the quest.
You don’t have to but playing my warlock through the dragon isles and my evoker, it was different. DF has more lore for evokers and dracthyr so I suggest you comb through it at least.
evoker has some unique quests that you wont get on any other class, but its only like one in each zone. theres also a quest in stormwind/org to heal the city’s veterans that only evokers get if you havent done that yet
