Hi looking at these on ah , they are rank 1 = +25 recipe difficulty
Rank 2 = +20 recipe difficulty, and rank 3 +15 recipe difficulty.
So noob question, why is it that the higher quality the less the + recipe difficulty?
Does it work in reverse to say a gem or piece of gear, where the lower the +recipe difficulty the better?
having less difficulty is better, which is why you want the r3 missive

The reason higher quality has lower recipe difficulty is because the amount of stats you get are the same whether you 1star or 3star material it.
However, if you need 375 skill to make a crafting tool at 5 star and buddy has 390 skill, using the 3star recipe will only add 15 to the 37, bringing it up to 390, while the 2star and 1star would bring it up to 395 and 400 respectively, making it require an inspired craft to 5 star.
