Queuing on my 1900 CR disc priest, I’ve now encountered two different players across 2 games as DPS who are actively throwing at least 2/6 rounds. Has anyone else encountered this enough to chalk it up as a common occurrence, or just a bad break during the AM session?
It is particularly frustrating, as this essentially railroads you into 3/6 wins, which doesn’t amount to any CR, thus wasting a ton of time at someone else’s beckoning.
Waiting for Kennie to tell you it’s not an issue… it’s also your fault the leavers left. And insert some dumb emoji

There’s definitely more trolling going on now, it feels like. I’ve noticed a lot more otherwise decent healers just refusing to heal people once the weak link has been sorted out. I think the logic is that faith is so lost that it’s faster to just expedite the rounds with the bad dps. Or like they really don’t like bm/rogue/fury/whatever and also go out of their way to screw them over for that reason.
I think all of this stuff has always happened to some degree but morale and interest is just so low right now that it seems worse. It’s definitely dps players too, but I think healer players do it more. Throwing a round or two isn’t that big of a deal when you don’t have to wait 30-60 minutes for the next lobby. I think it’s more likely that dps players doing it actually just suck really bad and it seems like they’re throwing but really they just lucked into where they are and are probably facing situations that they don’t know what to do with yet.
I had a game where an assass rogue was so bad at damage at 1700ish mmr on my dru for sure felt like i got into some boosted lobby… or the dude was trolling.
its not an issue and its also your fault the leaver left ![:dracthyr_hehe_animated: :dracthyr_hehe_animated:](https://d2ertrwg9e34np.cloudfront.net/original/1X/f93da56cb6b047f5b99748929bbc49ebccfc1edb.gif?v=12)

I’d be curious to know which is more common: Players throwing games at 1900, or one of the healers going 6-0?
I see more healers throwing afk tantrums than DPS.
Some AFK over one player calling them bad or saying healer diff, which punishes the other dps who didn’t say anything, so I have to report the healer for AFK / gameplay sabotage… and report the other dps for text chat if it was abusive (and not some nano aggression that healers afk over lately).
DPS obviously do the afk tantrums as well, but definitely less often in my large amount of experience in shuffle. Happens across all rating bands too. See just as many duelists chucking AFK tantrums as I do 1600 players.
The problem started getting really out of hand when the season started to die off, probably not long after 11.0.5 came out to be honest. Once most the big streamers playing at 2700 stopped playing and MMR fell off a cliff again, the tantrums increased by 500%
Can literally get up to 4 lobbies in a row with quitters some days, i think the worst i saw was 5 out of 6 shuffles in a 3 hour window had someone chuck a sad in text chat and go AFK.
Yesterday I had a shaman go AFK in round 3, didn’t see anyone type to them at all… he was just emoting strange gestures for the next 3 rounds AFK. I whisper him to inform him I reported him as AFK for gameplay sabotage and I kid you not this is his response:
“It doesn’t matter what I do I just die every round, give me gameplay tips don’t report me”
If you ask for tips after a 0-6 where you play the game I would GLADLY help. If you throw 3 rounds and cost me rating, the last thing I will do is help you. It’s that shaman’s responsibility to look up guides and seek help / subscribe to skill-capped, not mine.
The excessive quitting and afk tantrums need to be curbed with harsher punishment from blizzard, especially when the text chat in the shuffle (and sometimes in the forum too) is openly admitting to game play sabotage.
I’m not very good at PvP and i have played WoW since vanilla. Its not hard to get to 1600 in solo shuffle, did not take me long on my warrior. I will admit I will afk tantrum after getting bombarded with whispers in match that I’m getting reported for throwing games, or told i suck and I should just delete my account. All I’m doing is trying to learn and have fun, But WoW PvP is so bloody toxic you can’t, Everyone excepts you to be perfect right away and if you are not you get harassed. This is the real reason WoW PvP is dying, from the pure toxicity of it
1700-1900 is complete chaos and almost nothing you do as healer can really affect the game enough to turn the tide if no damage is going out. I’ve accepted it as common that people are just simply trolling rounds randomly because there’s sometimes no other obvious explanation. You simply have to grind out of it if you get unlucky enough or under geared in placements to end up there.
Healing this rating bracket is actually torture.
It sounds like it’s more likely that they’re bad or making mistakes over throwing.
Record and watch the games back and you’d be shocked at how many mistakes everyone makes.
