So I’m trying to run a mage trough keys. Right now I’m running as fire mage. and even following rotation properly , not wasting hot streak, i can’t push more then 167K and on ST i barely make 100K ? What do i do wrong?
Well there could be a couple of factors. What’s your ilevel? What trinkets/weapon are you running? Do you have the old S3 tier set or the new S4 set yet? Is that single target on a target dummy or in a raid with raid buffs?
All of those things could be a factor. Do you have any logs?
Idk what’s good right now, haven’t endgamed in awhile, but Fire Mage is very VERY dependent on doing well in your combustion window, just in general. If you’re not being optimal there, the spec is gonna suck. A lot.
Post on your mage then. It’s hard to tell you anything if we have no clue about your trinkets, secondaries, talents and your logs which give a full picture. We can guess, but that’s about it. Keep in mind that fire mage is fairly high skill cap and tends to excel at high level M+ but can suffer in average level keys.

Spoils is a fairly good trinket so that’s good. Spam some vault for umbreskul trinket and replace idol. Spend your bullion on Dreambinder and upgrade it. That’s your best in slot weapon. Unfortunately I don’t see anyone who logged a season 4 M+ run of you running fire.
Keep in mind the two main stats you want are Haste and Vers. Enchant your rings with haste not crit. The stat prio changes depending on your spec though. You don’t have full set, that’s bringing down your dps a bit. You have no embellishments, that brings down damage a bit. Your legs are missing an enchant. I took a log from your assault of Zaqali fight and put it into wowanalyzer. It says you didn’t cast combustion enough only having 3 out of 5 possible casts in the fight. It says you have 43.66% downtime, you should aim for 5% downtime. That often is hard without practice but cast scorch if you need to move.

I’d start logging and putting stuff in wowanalyzer to see where you can improve. Keep in mind that you’ll most likely always have a couple of mistakes, you’re human afterall but you can use this to tone them down a bit because you see what you mess up without any human bias.
Make sure to use your best phials: Iced Corrupting rage or Vers phial for the more economic option. Make to put howling runes on your weapon.
