I’m a Delver and open-world enjoyer mostly in WoW these days. Been trying to build a DPS Prot warrior because I love the theme/feel of fighting sword 'n board. None of the guides out there (for good reason) show BiS trinkets for this playstyle. I currently have Funhouse Lens & Mechano-Core Amplifier but not entirely sold that those are the best for this play style.
Any recommendations for alternate trinkets to improve DPS?
Mechano-Core Amplifier is good but replacing it with a Suspicious Energy Drink would be a slight upgrade. Suspicious Energy Drink and Funhouse Lens are the best DPS trinkets for a Prot warrior outside of Myth track raid trinkets.
Thanks! I’ll check that out. I do like using Funhouse Lens so happy to hear that’s a keeper, but definitely wasn’t sold on Mechano-Core so I’ll swap it for Energy Drink and see how it feels.
You can also get an EoK from the new quest. It is great for pretty much everything. I normally do my delves as prot because it is just so safe and going more for damage over toughness just makes things go faster. Have fun.
Eye of Kezan is only good for long raid boss encounters.
I was reading that Mastery isn’t the greatest secondary for Prot. Does that change if I’m trying to build a DPS Prot Warrior?
As opposed to short raid fights? Or do you find yourself normally taking brakes in delves or dungeons? With victory rush and leap, I go thru some delves and I don’t know if I ever rly leave combat.
Unless you’re in combat for say 5 minutes plus, you won’t get enough stacks to make a difference. The only time my sims show it as an upgrade is when it gets past 20 stacks. (3-5 mins varies drastically).
I will attest, the delve with the fires, I do move thru that place slowly and wasn’t building many stacks. But if its any of the water ones or no gimmick, I am almost perma in combat.
